Logically speaking, it seems to me that there would be other vaults with people still in them too. Vault 101 surely wouldnt be the only one. (with sane people, not counting victims of FEV etc)
I second this.
I'd like a game in some other cities. Maybe they can cover NY one day.
Bethesda's making New Vegas but I'm thinking that's where they'll stop untill FO4.
There is allready a mod (Global Transit System) where you can go around the world. I'm not too sure how it works but I only remember seeing one location, Iceland.
You should meet the son/daughter of the original vault dweller and go on some ADVENTURES.
Come to think of it, you did run into a few prostitutes in the original...That would make for a good quest.
See, I'm a hardcore fo1/fo2 fan, and I know some people here aren't which is cool, because this is a fallout 3 fan club....but to be honest, some more quests tied in the with other games would make me a happy gal.
OMIGOD YOU PLAYED FO1/FO2 TOO?! Glad I'm not alone here. And yes, there wern't neeeearly enough quests in FO3.
It seems to me that Bethesda takes 2 steps foward, then one step back.
Lets start with Morrowind. I didn't play much but I do remember a great story, a detailed world, and lots of quests. Problems included terrible combat and you needed to be hardcore RPGer to get into it.
Then Oblivion. Fixed combat, lots of quests, and very easy to get into. Problems included It was a bit too easy to get into meaning it wasn't a true hardcore RPG unlike in previous chapters. The main quest was boring and short. Oh, and the world was blegh. Same copy and paste duengeons and blegh terrain with nothing new or interesting.
Then Fallout 3. I was looking foward to this from the beginning of it's announcment and bought it the day it came out. I was addicted for days and couldn't stop thinking about it. Yeah.
Now, it had an amazing world and each location had a story to tell, the atmosphere was very imersive and could be quite horrifying at times. Problems included combat that wasn't too good and it's saving grace was V.A.T.S. There wern't many quests and, again, the main quest was short and blegh. The RPG portion was the same as Oblivion. Again, perks were it's saving grace. Though the exploration created almost 60 hours of entertainment.
With all of this said, Fallout is heads above every other game they've made. Then again, everything that saved Fallout was allready in the original FO's. Hm...It is nice to see a Fallout universe in 3D.
Does anybody understand what I'm saying?
If you read all of this, READ it not SKIMED it, give yourself a pat on the back.
