I think I understand now. People just don't know what dnb is. Therefore when someone makes a song it either goes to misc or dnb since majority of songs has a drum and a bass. I'll give up now
God I hope you guys are being sarcastic on this thread. I'll say look up drum and bass on wikipedia. It will also give you the history of it too. Basically fast tempo beat 160- 180ish and heavy influenced bass line/sub bass. Many different styles like ambient(inteligent), jazzy, techstep, liquid, brazilian, darkstep, and etc.
I kinda disagree with Djinthedark. I used to come on newgrounds everyday to listen to dnb to see whats poppin. 80% of the songs I hear just isnt dnb. I might like it and it may sound good. But its not what I am looking for. I just went checked a few moments ago to see whats listed and I hear mostly good house music, rock, trance, techno, classical, and some dnb. If I go to the house list. All I hear is house music.
Well, apparently I agree with the OP too. I can understand that a lot people who get into music are not good at first but there are a lot of stuff in the DnB section that is simply just not dnb or they use the same sounds in fruity loops without learning how to use a synth. I am no expert, look at my music.
But come on, I look at the dnb section and some of the songs dont even have drums or even bass.
Dub step on the other hand is actually pretty good on newgrounds. ironic aint it.
Dnb that needs some feedback. Actually none of my songs have any reviews
