Jone strolled through the town with WD, glad to have his mind on better things. He carried the bag with the stones next to him, as he surveyed the area. It was amazing a town as prosperous as this could survive so close to the castle. Unless it was the doing of the temple yet again, it boggled Jone's mind.
They discovered a fountain, and sat on the edge while still talking. "So," WD said, "What exactly happened to that snake after I... you know." "Well," Jone said, "we uh, got rid of it. Not a worry about it any more." "Oh yeah," WD interrupted, "I heard from Odin, that mage kid, that you took her out all by yourself." Jone's eyes fell, and his smile ceased. "I'd prefer not to talk about that," he muttered.
Jone dug into the bag and pulled out the stones, inspecting them one by one. "Hmm," he mumbled as he inspected it, WD leaning in for a closer look. "Got that one," Jone stated, as he tossed the stone over his shoulder, which WD instinctly caught. He repeated the process with a few others, all having the same result. Finally, he had a few left, when a clear lighted stone caught his attention. "Aha!" Jone proclaimed, as he closed his eyes and made a fist with the stone inside. "Acquire," he whispered, and a glowing bead now floated along with the yellow, red, green, grey, and white beads in his pendant.
"What was that one for?" WD asked, her face closer to Jone. "Hopefully, its one that can benefit everyone. I believe it was for healing." "Well, how about we find out?" WD asked, which slightly confused jone until she unsheathed her sword and made a small cut on her finger. Jone held her hand, concentrating, until the blood stopped flowing and the wound healed over. "Well," Jone stated, looking up at WD's face, which happened to be even closer, "I gues our suspicions were answered." Finally, it hit the boy how close they were.
"Augh!" Jone shouted as he slipped backwards, splashing into the fountain waters. WD started laughing, as Jone clambered out, soaking and slightly chuckling, as Dual started walking over. "Geez, Sparky," he said, suppressing a laugh, "she's alive for a few hours and already you two are doing it in public." "Shaddap!" Jone yelled at him, as Dual tossed him a room key. "It's for the both of you," Dual went on, "So don't worry about it being soundproof or not." Dual jogged off as Jone sent a few weak lightning bolts after him, all the while WD trying hard to keep from laughing too hard.
