Ok, well regarding tomorrows event, there was some kind of error with the server yesterday, not sure if it is fixed now. I told the admin of the server so maybe it will be up tomorrow. If not I will just pick a server and everyone can join.

I shall use this in the future.

Yeah, sticky bombs are the easiest way to get points as demoman. The times when I get the most points, I set them up on the capture point and set them off when it's being capped. If I am doing that I usually just lay low and play defense with the pipes. Soldier is pretty tricky. You want to aim at the ground, and try to anticipate your enemies moves. Also, don't bother with rockets far away, they are very easy to dodge.

Heh, about snipers in close combat...any time i go up against a sniper in close combat, their knife seems to be more of a sword. It's range is HUGE.

No, Steam is a client used to chat during games, save stats, etc., and you can buy and download games (including orange box) from them.

Sniper is a really hard class to get good at. One thing you need to take into consideration is that a fully charged shot to the body does a lot of damage, so it's not all about getting headshots. You've also got to know that your main target should be other snipers, who are the best class for taking YOU out. Also, don't camp in one spot for too long. You need to move around or you will become the target of rocket jumping soldiers or scouts. Also, Try to stand against a wall so it is harder for spies to take you out.

Ok, I'm going to schedule and event...nothing specific, just a day where we all get together and play for the first time. I'm pretty sure we will do it on my team's server, which is usually empty, I just need to know what time is good for you guys. I would like to do it either next friday or saturday night. I was thinking around 8pm EST?

I do that all of the time if I'm on red on Dustbowl. There are hallways going to the final point on every part of Dustbowl, which makes it easy.

The only mod I have of DM is the CTF mod. It's pretty dead most of the time. There are only like 10-15 servers total ever running, most of which are empty. However, if you join the HL2CTF group on steam, they have events once in a while where lots of people will play.

DM itself is still very active, so if you are interested in that, I'd buy it. I can't say much about any of the other mods besides CTF though.

Oh yeah, going somewhere with another spy is usually a good idea. People suspect pairs of people to be spies a lot less. And taking out sentries is a lot easier as well.
