Just found this site today from a friend, so far I'm really enjoying it and hope to make some friends and get some helpful criticism on my short stories and poems!

I watch the night outside
snow on the ground
giving everything a sense
of stealth,
where if that stealth is disturbed,
the whole world could come crashing,
falling down around us.
Though many do not notice,
especially the birds, asleep in their trees,
a pure white wolf, walks along the forests edge.
As white as the snow it walks in,
quiet as the night surrounding,
the wolf walks out,
staring towards me with eyes
a piercing, crystal blue.
It watches for a moment,
and then,
as if startled by a sudden noise,
it bolts into the night,
never to be seen again.
