I mean I was all happy dapp when they got me on beatport, but then my guy said he wants me also on resident advisor now, and I really dont know much about it other than it's an online magazine.. should I be doing handstands or is this a big whooptie fuckin doo deal?
It's a little less popular than Pitchfork but also less elitist and less indie-wank focused. Good job! :)

What error message are you getting, exactly? If it's saying you already uploaded twice today when you haven't you should clear your cache and try again.
Wasn't saying you couldn't, it's just never necessary in my opinion (obviously). You guys sure like semantics, huh?
You don't need to have more than two guitars playing live, ever.

Hey, cool to see UrT getting a mention! Have you tried using the iKalizer mod for it? I've heard that it alters the gun sounds a lot and it's supposed to improve psycho-acoustics a bit but apparently just causes phasing issues for some people.
A big disadvantage to the sound in older games, Q3 and UT99 based games in particular, is the sample rate - often the maximum is 22500Hz and the default is 11250. The audio in both BF3 and MW3 is, technically, quite high quality!

lol what
Speaking of dreams
Last night someone was knocking on the front door in my dream (was more like bashing my door with a battering ram really), when I woke up I had the most HORRENDOUS ear ringing I've ever experienced; it felt like standing in a cathedral where five or six people were pressing as many keys on the organ as they can across the entire range of the instrument.
tinnitus, lol? :(
the most blackest, most brutal present of all
NOTHIIIIIIIING.
also cheers for the deja vu video fairsquare, that was properly interesting!
Sorry not SBB, SpaceWhale :V
ALSO with the transport buttons you shouldn't be needing to map them at all, since they'd be sending the same standardized MIDI message if they were working properly. In that case it might be that your transport buttons aren't sending the correct triggers. Or if it's a keyboard with a built-in sequencer then they might be set to local mode, or they could even be completely incapable of sending MIDI out like the transport buttons on CME's UF and VX series of controllers :V

Well I've always been able to automate stuff without having it in the active window in versions as far back as FL 5. The transport buttons on my controller work just fine, and it isn't natively supported by IL (CME Bitstream-3x). Probably need to contact them about it, like SBB said. What sort of MIDI controller are you using?
I'm following nearly every name I recognize from NG, afaik.
If it's anything like BFD2 the cymbals are niiiiice.
So does anyone know who TheBreakbeatRockers are on soundcloud? They keep posting tonnes of songs to our soundcloud group, then remove them and post them again; effectively making themselves the only thing visible on the group page.
I read it as "I was going to get a drumset for christmas, but instead I will ask for this $30 software". Chill.
Get an actual drumset too, this thing is only like 30 bucks lol
Might give this a go, except I already have BFD2 (which I rarely use for anything other than cymbals lololol)
Panning law is (very) basically to stop stuff getting louder the further it is from the center. That button just toggles between two different velocity curves, on being a circular curve and off being linear.
Whether or not it "adds more power" is down to speaker/room setup and personal preference. I keep circular panning on because the panning feels more natural in headphones to me.
If she feels that she "lost" $2000 there's no way we could convince her with words. When do you turn 18?
Check the email they sent you when they limited your account (they always send one) and it should tell you exactly why they did it and what you're supposed to do to restore access. There's absolutely no point sending them lots of emails if you haven't even gone into the resolution center to see what's up.
EoD man, you didn't sign up for a PayPal account; you signed up for a PayPal CREDIT CARD. Somehow. It's not an option when you sign up from the front page.
You press SIGN UP, choose "personal" and throw down some details (which actually don't get whored around the internet). Then you verify the account by linking it to a your bank account or credit card. When you verify a bank account they send you two small payments (usually <$0.10), then you visit your bank or check online/over the phone exactly what the amounts were, then go back on PayPal and enter in the amounts. After that you can freely move money between your bank account and your PayPal balance. Completely free if you're not switching currencies afaik.
Basically, the ONLY info PayPal should get from you is:
- Name and DOB
- Home/mailing address
- Phone number (they will NEVER call you unless you need them to)
- Bank account number or Credit card number (former is ideal imo but both are safe)
So, what nasty things does PayPal do with your money?
Paypal do not take money from domestic transactions where the funding is entirely from your Paypal or bank accounts, nor from transactions between your bank and your paypal account.
They charge a flat fee of 2.4% + $0.30 when your fund a domestic transaction entirely or partially with a credit card.
For international transactions funded with your bank account/paypal balance there is a surcharge of either 0.5% or 1% for non-european countries, and a surcharge of 1.5% for most of those (a few countries are 1.8%, Poland is 2% and Germany is 3.3%). Credit card surcharges are between 3.4% (Australia) and 7.4% (Brazil), but are mostly less than 5% and on top of the $0.30 fixed fee mentioned earlier.
All the Paypal accounts from each country have their funds pooled together and deposited to a licensed bank in their respective countries. The funds from PayPal accounts are kept seperate to their corporate funds, but they keep any interest gained while your funds are in the bank. If you don't feel comfortable with that, don't withdraw funds into your paypal balance and instead use paypal to do direct debits from your bank account. If you verified with a bank account, you can already do this.
Wait, don't PayPal freeze accounts from time to time? What's up with that?
I was gonna go into this in detail but I've already spent ages on this post and I'm le tired! There's a long list of reasons why the freeze/limit accounts in the User Agreement. A lot of these reasons can boil down to Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing laws, and you can avoid these reasons by not buying really expensive stuff (>$1000) via Paypal.
phew, effort!

when i find out that people who were born when i first started using the internet are also using the internet
If you have specific questions ask them in this thread. If your question is "How do I use FL Studio" then press open FL and press F1 and get reading, tiger.
Yeah my computer can't run Skyrim OR BF3 so I'm a little miffed about that!
