sure are annoying, huh?
insert dub turbo joke here
If someone steals the song for themself then they probably deserve the credit more for being able to make out every note and effect/instrument parameter in a three to five minute time-lapse video of someone dicking around in a DAW :V
1) Add a Layer channel into the step sequencer
2) Open the layer channel settings
3) Select the channels you want by right clicking the green dots next to the channels
4) Press the "set children" button
The samples will be arranged in the Layer's piano roll from C5 upwards in descending order (so Sample One will be on C5, Sample Two will be on C#5, and if there was a Sample Three it would be on D5)

every room has a "sound", so to speak. if you keep your mic as far away from your computer or any other fan/ventilation as possible then you'll minimize that background noise.
it's best not to think about it too much, it can turn lesser men mad
you gotta make my heart beat like an 808 drum
^ i hate it, but it's true.
don't worry about royalty-free single hit samples though, just dew eet.
The only Behringer products that worry me are their DI boxes and guitar effect pedals. Everything else they do is pretty solid nowadays imo, especially for the price you pay.
it'd be more interesting to lock yourself in a room with a microphone for like 24 hours making a song and record a time lapse of your time in there
but still not very interesting

oh god :v
OR get a BCR2000 instead; motorized faders are a waste of money imo but the nanokontrol is not particularly solid either. this one has as many encoders as you'll ever need.
have you considered something with keys as well? you might like to use a VST called artillery at some point :)
we impart some leniency towards rappers as long as they're using a noncommercial backing track and credit whoever made it
if you can't do a remix without using other people's audio just upload it to youtube
There's this VSTi called Unique with pretty much the best built-in formant filter of any synth ever. I think I could marry that synth.
Abstaining from sampling is the best way to avoid copyright herpes.
i actually let out an audible "whoaaaaaaaaaaaaa" at the difference in scores and my girlfriend was like wtf and i was like URRRGH I CAME SECOND IN THIS INTERNET THING BY THE TINIEST AMOUNT and she was like k
BUT YEAH! everybody was real fantastic, especially my most worthy opponent!

took like 2 seconds of googling, seriously
It's not about whether it's a FL Slayer preset or whether FL Slayer is a good instrument or not, it's just "HEY, I recognize that sound!"
Same deal when I found out Daft Punk used Gross Beat and when I found out Ratatat used RD_Hat_5 :P
HAH, it fucking is! Nice find :)
You can still easily use a minor scale in happy hardcore if you use the dominant 7th. Case in point!

what if it's a 0dB sample of DC offset? :P

Even then, better get to the back of the line.

Yeah none of Tweakbench's plugins will work on mac without using the VFX host software, which acts as a second wrapper to make windows .dll files work on mac. THEN you can use an RTAS/AU->VST wrapper like the one FXpansion makes. In theory.
MilkyTracker works on MAC but it's probably more 16-bit unless you write specifically to sound 8-bit. Never used it tbh.
If you don't mind spending a little money I absolutely must recommend Toraverb, which I'm in love with as a primary aux reverb. It's the best sounding software reverb I've ever heard imo, and I've had the privilege of working with Waves IR-1 and Eventide (which are also amazing but far more expensive).

As easy as one, one, two, three.
yeah but adding zero to the start ruins the joke

For sure! Starting with an excellent source should be the #1 priority imo.
