There's a fair few. Companies need there logos absolutely perfect, they're stuck with it, remember?

First, it has a background that would cut off awkwardly.
Second, the styles of each character differ somewhat.
Third, too much contrast in colour. These groups usually want 6 or so colour maximum. Better with less.
Fourth, bad composition, it jhust doesn't look neat.

I agree with you. To the OP, logos must be slick and professional, often simple, unless their specs say otherwise.

I may be wrong, because I don't use Photoshop, (I'm a Macromedia Fireworks man.) but I don't think you can do pixel editing in that. Well... You can, but what I mean is that in paint, when you zoom in, all the pixels are expanded, so you can simply edit each individual pixel. It's good for sprites and small details in photos.

But yeah, you probably can do it in Photoshop. All I'm saying is that Paint is actually quite a nice little package, considering it's free, and comes with Windows.
