So 3rd year student games development, C++ knowledge, limited knowledge of havoc and nvidia PhysiX, DirecX, OpenGL, Flash (more as2.0 but recently had to swich to 3.0 to put it into my own project), some skills in 3dmax but im mainly a programmer so 3d modeling aint for me i suck at it ;) hmm proly some other things i forgot and remember when i wake up but if you have any questions just shoot.

Im quite intrested in your offer and more then willing to jump into and maybe even bring an additional programmer with me if she is interested :p any kind of game would look quite good on my cv :p and since im a fresh games dev graduate I would love the opportunity to jump into smth like this. Game programming eh for what system? PC, Xbox360, web? PC games i would sugest c++ realy xbox360 since you aint gona get a dev kit c# for XNA is your best shot there web flash and AS ofc. VB? why oh why would you even go there? sure its easy but is it of any value ... close to 0 in the real world c++ aint that hard a few books here and there a few dozens websites like http://www.gamedev.net/ and you will get it mind you if your not realy a "programming" guy who loves to sit in front of his pc coding (yes coding all thous game tools are crap anyway and for real control your gona code sooner or later) this aint realy a thing you wana get in to making aything not even goin as far as saying making a game takes time huge amounts of time still c# would be the easet to get your head around. from my own experience as somone stated PLAN :) hehe belive me it will help out down the round but with game developing its quite hard to fallow a strict plan since you will want to add things or change some things so just make a simple write up of the game what you whant to implement and in what order. As a side note i cant realy understand why actualy Java :o you said your friend did study it for a year ok but think he might be overestimating his skills with it (although personaly i hope you will make it;) ) Oh one more little advice dont try to do anything to over the top and by that i mean dont aim that high do remember this is your first game so it will have bugs it wont be perfect and most likely a lot of ppl will hate it but there is a reson why even top games fail its becouse they aim to high. One more thing although i bet your friend as a programmer knows this but dont try to "reinvent the wheel" serch the web you will be sure to find some code snippets for a lot of the things you would like to implement maybe even some AI code who knows. the actual upload speed isent efected by how "good" or "fast" your pc is but by the internet connection as somone already noticed you proly have an adsl and well i wont repeat him and belive me ftp's own get a proper conection and you will see :D
