I've played with it for a while, but got bored of it quick, as basically, after a while, it all starts sounding the sameish. I much prefer synth where you can just set the parameters yourself.

The only entertainment you can get from autogun is probably from those descriptions, as mentioned.

If after reading this, you can still say your track was 100% original without lying, then it probably means either a mod made a mistake (which is a human thing to do), or it has to do with a mod that got hacked earlier. Though I think that's been longer than 2 weeks.

You could make a new account and submit it on that, as audio bans are currently still permanent.

The media always succeeded very well at making people believe things that may not have been right, everyone trusted the media. But it seems that either the people are getting more aware of what is truth and what are lies nowadays. Either that or the media is being stupid. This all simply because they made such a huge deal out of something that isn't all that bad...

I guess we'll see how it turns out, just make sure not to believe everything that's on the news I guess...

That might well be why you got banned, as copyrighted material is frowned upon, no matter how little.
About all the tracks on NG that feature copyrighted material:
You only need to be approved for your first submission, so those people got approved for their first track, then submitted rule-breaking work. You can always report any submissions that break these rules in the Audio portal cleanup thread.

The annoying part is that the audio moderators only have control over a user's first submission, they can either ban or approve, and that's where their authority ends. It doesn't help that some audio moderators have been hacked recently and the hacker wrongly banned and approved people.

PHP mp3 sample rate

Out of nowhere question GO.
Does anyone have a clue how you would go for determining the sample rate of an mp3 file using PHP? I only seem to find things where you have a huge class with loads of unnecessary things to get all the ID3 data and such, while I simply need the sample rate.

So, any hidden brilliant php programmers out here?

Basically, what you did broke the rules. Since you still used the original in your remix, it used copyrighted material (supposedly), and therefore broke Newgrounds' rules for submitting audio, so you got banned.

You could remix the track again, but re-create everything from scratch, so not a split second sample from the original. Then, create a new account on Newgrounds, as the way thinks work now, an audio ban is permanent, then submit the non-rule-breaking remix on the new account. Be sure to include as much information on how you made it in your author comments so the moderator who deals with the submission doesn't have too much work figuring out whether or not your submission is legit.

I think the only time I lie on Newgrounds is when I'm being sarcastic. As some others here, I'm pretty much more honest on Newgrounds than I am in real life, simply becuase I don't have to face people from Newgrounds in everyday life. Awkward situations can't happen.

Your account gets banned forever, yeah. You can make a new account to try again, as long as you follow the rules on that one. I would assume you'd eventually get IP banned from submitting audio if you keep trying to submit something that breaks the rules.

As for BBS bans, making an other account/using an other account to bypass your ban is against the rules, as you can obviously read here.

You probably used clips from the original song, which is not allowed by the rules, as it's copyrighted.

It probably broke the rules. Hopefully this article I wrote can help clarify those for you.

You can not be unbanned from submitting audio, so after you've read that article, I suggest you make something new according to these rules, and start over on another account.
The Awaiting audio approval thread also has some information you might want to read.

The Radiogrounds DJ just spin whatever they want to if I'm honest. I think EchozAurora spins the most of actual NG stuff. I must admit, when I go on, I barely ever play NG music.

Then again, Radiogrounds is pretty much dead, and the only like 2 people will listen there.
