Me and my freinds used to use it a ton about a year ago, then we just stopped out of the blue. Skype's pretty cool, but I'd much rather just text or call someone using my phone while multitasking on something else instead of being confined to a laptop or whatever I'm using Skype on.

I understand that the iDevices have an app for it and Android probably does too, but not everyone has those phones/devices............ right?

First step?

Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Wallowing in self-pity all the time gets you nowhere, doesn't help attract freinds at all since no one really wants to hang around someone who's completely absorbed in themselves and negative all the time, and if it isn't obvious, it makes you feel worse.

Second step?

Pick up some self confidence. Change your look. Do something different with your hair. Pick up some new clothes. I hate to be the tool to say it, but work out/ exercize. More testosterone = more self confidence. Find something you're good at, everyone's good at something.

Find something to be proud of yourself for. Make yourself get comfortable with yourself, if that makes any sense.

Remember: If you believe you can do something, you most likely can. People like being around confident people.

Third step?

Get out there and socialize! You can only get better at something if you keep practicing at it ;)

But in all seriousness just go to open social gatherings, like local band concerts, kick any social awkwardness to the side, and talk. Maybe make a Facebook page, add some of your old freinds, and attempt to make plans to do something with them.

You're bound to meet someone out there- it's just a matter of looking, really ;)
