I had a somewhat similar situation.

You see, I came home after having a regular day. Upon entering my room, I noticed my $1198 guitar lying in the middle of the floor with it's neck broken in two. I've never been so pissed off.

I asked my mother about my guitar, and she stated it must have been the wind that knocked it over, but I know that's not true; my guitar stand had a guard made specifically to stop this from happening.

So frustrating.
