I live on the second floor of a two story apartment building in a community that is considering "affordable housing". Its not really meant for people who are poor but because there is a lack of "low income housing" there tends to be some shady folks here.
My point is that due to some thin walls and floor I over heard my downstairs neighbors being unusually loud. There was loud talking and lots of banging noises going on. It sounded kind of like someone was getting the shit beat out of them, especially when the loud crying started. I started to get a bit concerned.
At the height of when I thought maybe I should do something I heard the door downstairs open and a crying woman yell some shit in Spanish then slam the door. I thought it was over at that point until I hear some guy go outside and apparently the girl was still out there because he started yelling at her in English, with a thick Spanish accent. I heard something along the lines of how she better get inside followed by, do you like getting abused...After this a quieter woman goes outside and talked to her in Spanish. Then the crying girl goes back inside.

So I'm left here wondering if I should've done something, or if I should do something, or if I should just mind my own business. I mean, maybe she wasn't being beat, maybe they were rearranging furniture and the angry Hispanic, somewhat drunk sounding, man dropped something on the woman's foot causing her to start crying before she stormed off. I don't know.

So I come to Newgrounds for advice. Should I have done something at the time, should I do something now, or should I ignore this instance just as my neighbors ignore all the times I must inadvertently annoy them with loud music or my girlfriend's orgasmic screams late at night...or early in the morning?

So I think I got the flu right after Christmas and I've had a fever since then. It was bad a few days ago but its stayed around 99ish for a while until today when it went up to over 100 degrees. I went to the hospital because I recently moved and I don't have a doctor around here yet. They said I had Sinusitis (a sinus infection). They gave me antibiotics and sent me on my way. I got home and was really tired so I went to bed and woke up and my fever was up to 101.7. I got out from under the blankets and took off my second shirt and sat in the living room playing Team Fortress 2 for a bit, made some soup and drank like 5 glasses of water. I waited a while and my fever went up. I didn't know what to do, so I took my antibiotics, a mucus pill, and an Excendrin (because besides being in pain the doctors said it lowered my fever). So here I am, I took my temperature and it went down a whole one degree. I'm at 100.9 and I'm freezing my balls off.

If someone could please give me suggestions of how to lower my fever that'd be nice. I don't expect much, besides fake suggestions. I just have no one to ask because everyone is out enjoying fucking New Years Eve bullshit.

On a side note, does anyone know a good way to get wax out of your ears? The pressure is killing me but a Q-tip would only push it further in...

Actually, no. If you read about it, Rockstar states that this game will be greatly different, especailly in the aspect of "own(ing) the town". Because it takes place in an exact recreation of New York City it would be impractical for the main character to have a rags to riches story. It will most likely be more like a The Getaway story line.

I didn't start off being at a computer. I only get to my computer after an epic drive home. I haven't realized I was so far gone. I was barely able to lay in bed without getting up to throw up. I had the spins so bad. At one point, I went in the bathroom and sat next to the toilet. Luckily, it wasn't so bad that I actually did throw up, but at least I might have felt better if I had. The worst part of the story is this morning I had to get up early to go to the junkyard with my dad so we could get parts for his car(the car that I drive now and again and got in an accident with).

Regardless, Britain is one of the few countries that can claim their money is worth more than ours. I feel like I live in a very awkward part of Jersey where nothing is too far away. I live in a somewhat traditional suburban area that is very close to a major highway. On the other side of that highway there are some very expensive houses(I'm talking multi-million dollar, just down the street are houses that go for over a million). Before you can get there you need to pass a farm on the end of my street(there is one on either end) and a Starbucks on the highway. There are five different lake communities in my town and the center of town has a somewhat traditional economic center(with another Starbucks). There are also various major highways that come through my town including: 80, 10, and 46. There is also a train station. In the surrounding towns there are very varied places that include: urban areas, farms, backwoods, lakes communities, a community college, public parks, revolutionary war sites, and a very large military facility that predates the civil war. I'm nearly directly in center of Northern New Jersey(specifically, Denville in Morris County). If you travel directly east you can get to New York City in less than hour(depending on traffic). If you go directly west you'll get to Pennsylvania in about the same time. If you go southeast you'll get to the famous Jersey Shore. That is where I go to school, and it's a little over an hour to get there.

I couldn't think of anything all to interesting around where I actually live, or at least nothing that exemplifies the widely varied area. I did find a decent picture of the back of my English building at school though. It is an old mansion and the picture doesn't do it very much justice.

In my drunken state I failed to clarify one thing. When I said drink straight, I meant to exclude shots. I was more referring to pouring yourself a nice tall glass. Well, perhaps not a tall glass, because that seems the wrong glass to drink it out of, regardless.

Anyway, lesson learned. However funny the name, Dickel is not an ideal whiskey to drink straight. It did however do a fine job of intoxicating me. I think part of it was the fact that anything I "borrow" from the dad's liquor cabinet tends to be decades old because he rarely buys liquor and some are even leftover from when we cleaned out my grandparents house.

I was drinking some whiskey on the rocks and it was so awful that I had to add Pepsi, which turned out creating something delicious. Either way, the Pepsi makes the drink much less classy...quite sad.

I was trying to enjoy it on the rocks, but it just isn't a whiskey to my liking. I forget what it was called but it was a fairly full bottle in the front of my dad's liquor cabinet so I figured I'd go for it. Old Mr. Boston's Rock and Rye(and a fairly aged bottle at that) tasted quite great on the rocks. Sadly, I had to add some Pepsi to this whiskey to find something that didn't suck.
