Trust me, If you use your laptop any where near as much as I used mine you won't want it anymore. After I finished school my laptops just sat in my room acquiring dust until I eventually just threw them in the bin because they were so worn out and crappy. And incase you're wondering they were good laptops when I bought them too

The cafeteria food at my uni is awesome. But then again I go to a sport university so if all they sold was crap the cafetreia wouldnt make any money because pretty everyone at my uni is health conscious.

My school had easily enough money to provide laptops but instead of doing that they would give us a choice of 3 laptops in year 7 and again in year 10 which we had to buy because a lot of the curriculum at my school was done on computers.

Thats really not that hard to get around. If you wanted to skip school all you'd have to do would be to leave your iphone at home and tell the school you were sick. If they can track the phone via GPS you'd be an idiot to take it with you if you were gonna skip school.

They already have drugs to treat it. Also, you would want to be a psychiatrist to do that which is a doctor, not a scientist unless you want to become a medical scientist in which case you would be both a doctor and a scientist.

Posted: 03/22/09 06:31 AM

Forum: General

If you don't want to leave early you should just crash at the party or of that's not an option just get shitfaced and pass out and then they'll either have to let you crash there or arrange transport to get you home so either way you win.

If you don't want to do that though just walk home except make sure there are heaps of drunk people around you when you want to leave and then instead of saying that you're walking home you should announce that you're going on a drunken adventure and you'd be surprised how many drunks will voluntarily come alone with you.

One of the best nights I've ever had was actually a drunken adventure/rampage I had with one of my mates.

To disregard something as fake simply because you don't understand how it works is an incredibly simplistic way of looking at the world.

Also deep sea fish don't need bones as the pressure of the water exerted on them at that depth works as a sort of exoskeleton which holds the fish together, the transparent area of the fish's head would receive its blood supply via a capillary network which would allow the area to remain transparent as capillaries are invisible to the human eye and the fish has no need for muscles on the top of it's head as they would serve no purpose due to it having no movable joints on the surface of it's head.

Unless you had a good knowledge of anatomy and actually knew exactly where the blood vessels were you would most likley just end up cutting through tendons if you made a vertical cut. If you didn't know what you were doing (i.e. 100% of people who try to commmit suicide by slitting their wrists as anyone who knows anything about anatomy would know that there is about 50 more effective and faster ways to do it) you'd be much more likley to die from a horizontal cut but it would have to be an incredibly deep cut.

It's not that unbelievable. Similar technology has been around for years. It was initially developed for quadriplegics so that they could control a computer using their brain waves as they don't have use of their arms or hands. Last I saw it was still fairly crude though and quite bulky. I'd say this technology won't be available on gaming consoles for at least another 10 years.

Not relevant to the make of the car as it is not standard Volkswagen doesn't offer that as an option. It would also further slow the top speed of the car by adding extra weight.

3. Is turbo charged for Nitrous

That doesn't make sense. Turbo charged and nitrous are two different things.

4. Has an amazing sound system

Subjective

5. Is nearly slip-proof on icy roads with special traction

Subjective. Also, traction control is nothing special

6. has full surrounding airbags that keep debris out and your body safe.

Airbags don't protect you from debris and any decent car should have at least 5-6 aribags.

7. Theft proof security.

No car has theft proof security

Guess what manufacturer?

Well apparently it's Volkswagen bus seeing as Volkswagen don't make any cars to those specifications i'm confused.

Forum: General

At 2/20/09 12:06 AM, Skilla wrote: This picture is no photo shopped.

I've circled out little wakes coming off of the "snake" swimming.

It is most likley the wake from a boat which has been removed and replaced by the snake in photoshop. The snake would also most likley be too stremlined and nor travelling fast enough to make a wake that wide either. Also note that none of the water towards the back of the snake appears to be disturbed even though snakes use their tails to propel themselves through the water.

I personally don't want to believe this is a snake, but many factors suggest a snake being able to get that long.

Apart from the complete lack of emperical evidence of any other snakes growing that long.

Snakes some species grow until they die.

That doesn't mean that would continue to grow indefinatley though, they might just have a shot lifespan and hence never finish growing before they die which, in the wild, is a much more likley scenario than the former.

My dad set up my phone plan like a year ago and it is not very msg friendly and it's a 24 month plan too so i've still got a year until it expires.

I'd go for the second option but instead of robbing a bank and having to worry about all the vault doors and security and shit I'd just go into the city and just walk into every store and empty the money from the till into a bag all the while wondering where/how the hell i'm going to hide a massive bag full of money without anyone noticing cause it would be kind of obvious if I just dumped it all into my bank account or if I just had a massive bag full of money sitting in my room. I guess I'd have 12 hours to think about it though.

Ironically, your diet wold actually be much healthier if you did eat meat. Humans are omnivires and we actually require meat for a healthy balanced diet.
B12, B6, protein, iron. That's what you get from meat that you actually need. You can find every single one of those things in nonmeat sources. So no, you do not need meat to be healthy.

There's also zinc, omega-3, vitamin D, antioxidants, and several more B-group vitamins, but thats not really the point. The fact is that nutrients in meat have a much high bioavalibility than that of the same nutrients of in plant matter, especially those of iron, zinc, omega-3 and protein so unless you either have incredibly low caloric requirements, eat obscene amounts of the foods that do contain those nutrients as to get enough of them or supplement your diet with other things (which you shouldn't need to do unless you have a bad diet anyway) then you're not going to be getting enough of what your body needs.

And as a vegetarian or vegan you have to pay more attention to what you eat. And reading labels can make you realise that there are other things you probably don't want going into your body so naturally you're going to eat healthier.

The easy way to get around that is to not eat processed foods.
