The very first complaint I ever had with multiplayer was the campers. "The freaking camping problem that WaW had is even worse in this game," I would always say.
I agree with the overpowered Assault Rifles (seriously, why are they slightly less powerful than the Bearett-50Cal?), the useless SMGs, and the poorly constructed maps. I've never seen an SMG, and when I play, there are maps where I'd like to take a tactical advance to, and others where I like to snipe, yet sniping is impossible.
Take Favela for example. That map reminds me a bit of WaW's Upheaval, so I thought sniping would be easy. Wrong. Every time I so much as look outside a window, I'm torn a part by some jack-hole with a rifle, killing me with less effort than he would with a sniper. Far too often would I get "LONGSHOT" on the top of my screen when I kill someone with my Scar. WaW made killing someone from a distance a challenge, but not ultimately unfair. Whenever you try to shoot someone from half the map away, the recoil would make it difficult. Every single Assault Rifle in MW2 has the same, if not less recoil than the fucking Gewehr-43, so all you have to do is toss a thermal sight or an acog on your gun and start picking targets.
What the guy adressed on "skill equalizing" is too right. All Assault Rifles are the same, every map is made of camp spots, killstreaks are too easy, and heart-beat sensors make it all too easy.
MW2, as much as I love it, seems a bit rushed to me (which makes no sense, seeing IW haven't made a game before it for two years), and I can only hope that IW patches the flaws.
