Dude, if you're going to be against abortion, support it a little better than that. There's such a grey area to the procedure that anyone can be right or wrong about it. Do I think abortion in general is wrong, and should be outlawed? No, I don't. I don't think anyone who hasn't undergone the procedure should truly criticize it, as they can't fully understand the gravity of having to make that decision. I feel the majority of women who have abortions done are doing so either for health reasons or because they simply cannot support a child in the way they see fit.
I also think, though, that there are some, mostly younger, teen girls, who are forced to get them, sometimes repeatedly, simply because they are irresponsible and haven't thought what sex at a young age can actually result in. A good idea would be to keep records of a persons history when it comes to procedures like this, and once they've hit a certain point, it's time to say no and let them learn to deal with what they've done the hard way

Response to: The neo-nazis, nazis, and the kkk Posted August 22nd, 2008 in Politics

I think I read about an uprising in young Neo-Nazis in Russia not too long ago. It only gos to show as long as ignorance and fear are the vertebrae of a persons backbone, racism and bigotry will always be present in some way or another.

Response to: White Pride Posted August 22nd, 2008 in Politics

The reason is that the phrase "White Pride" has been polarized by the same swastika waving skinheads you mentioned. It's so close in semblance to "White Power" that it's like dropping a racial hand grenade. I absolutely agree with you that there's nothing wrong with being proud of your heritage, I feel pride in mine, and will damn well protect my right to say so. As long as America keeps going down this bullshit trail of political correctness, or whatever term you want to apply to the general pussification of the average middle class American, it will only get harder and harder to take any pride in who you are or what you believe in without being labeled as some kind of bigot.

Response to: Do you think Hitler was evil? Posted August 22nd, 2008 in Politics

The Son of Sam Killer thought a demon had taken possession of his neighbors dog and was telling him to go out and kill.
That fellow who shot John Lennon thought doing so would make him popular.
Does a persons mindset reflect on the moral balance of their actions? Only when trying to plead insanity in a court of law.

Response to: Fla. Town Supports Gay Witch-hunt Posted August 22nd, 2008 in Politics

In their own homes maybe, but in a school, or any other public facility that is run by taxpayer money, religious beliefs are not, and never should be, allowed to be the basis for any kind of action or punishment. The fact that there still are socially backwards communities like this is astonishing to me. Witch-hunt is exactly the right term, especially when it comes to the near mob mentality of these kind of ignorant people. You can't beat who someone is out of them using 2000 pages of outdated religious rhetoric.

Response to: What party do you belong to? Posted August 20th, 2008 in Politics

I tend to think of myself as Libertarian, but I've also agreed with most Democratic opinions in the past. At this point, even with the massive flood of election coverage on all the combined news networks, I'm pretty hesitant to declare any preference between the two main candidates. I don't personally believe the cliche of saying McCain will only bring "four more years of Bush politics". People seem to forget McCain has run Dem in the past.
I also think it's a legitimate concern to wonder whether or not Obama truly does have the required experience needed to assume control of our Govt, especially with it being in the horrid state it is.
On a closing note, I agree with any of the people who have declared themselves as members of either neither party, or any party at all. The constant and childish bickering and feuding between the two leading parties is what mainly keeps anything significant from getting done in this country. Too many times have I turned on CSpan to see a random Senator declaring something to the effect of "But unlike the fellow from the Republican party, I feel the solution is...". Our representatives need to stop focusing on the advancements of their individual parties and resume concentrating strictly on the advancement of their country.

First off Mark, I loved The Flood, great piece of work.
Secondly, what I really don't know what the fuck you are talking about. I live in North-eastern Michigan, and 80% of people I know and consistently associate with strongly disagree with the actions of the current administration.
Their blatant disregard of public opinion is disgusting, particularly that little condescending grin Bousche likes to wear when treating the American people as a group of second graders. Bush, Cheney, Snow, and Rove are driving the formerly good reputation of this country six feet under.
Nonetheless, one year from now we can start a new page, and hopefully have a Blue president who's cock hasn't been replaced by a Scud missle aimed at a random Middle Eastern country.

Response to: ole 60's style racism still alive Posted May 26th, 2007 in Politics

That's really fucked up, actually. I live up in Michigan, and I've never heard of shit like that going down. I think it has a lot to do with a regressive localized mentality, people in the South still sticking to that "good ole boy" mentality, the whole South Will Rise Again bullshit.
Either way, from what I read in that story, that town's white population done and fucked itself over royally. Hopefully the local justice system and school board will be given a thorough enema, and some people capable of actual logical thought will be given their places.
Vote Obama, everyone!

Response to: global warming is bullshit Posted May 26th, 2007 in Politics

First point being that your supposed book is fraudulent. I spent twenty minutes searching every possible resource and engine and came up with nothing on "Global Warming Happens Every 1500 Years Whether You Like it or Not". And secondly, if you're going to make up a book, give it a decent title.
Next point. The most prominent Ice Age in world history was supposedly caused by massive tectonic movement which led to monumental volcanic eruption, the resulting ash in the atmosphere blocking out sun long enough for the planet to freeze. The other theory is a meteor strike, which is also possible.
It has also been proven, by plenty of "groups of scientists", that CFC's present in machine exhaust and aerosol sprays HAVE indeed eroded the o-zone, if you believe the o-zone exists, that is.
Stop being an ignorant ass, and try reading something that was actually written on the subject. It might help.

Response to: On the argument against God. Posted May 26th, 2007 in Politics

This dabbles somewhat in Creation versus Evolution, so I'll say a little bit. Let me first say if you do support and believe the idea of Creationism, then that's fine by me, more power to you.
I believe most of the historical figures in the Bible actually lived, and some of the acts probably may have occurred, since magical acts weren't far flung in the late B.C. time periods and the early A.D., Pharoahs and King's had court Magicians for entertainment, which probably had more to do with alchemy than anything.
I've strayed from the point, though. I firmly believe in evolution, and find it somewhat unbelievable that people can still argue it. All the advances, both technological and information based, in the fields of paleontology and archeology have time and time again proven the existence of men thousands of years before the birth of Christ. Carbon dating and fossil evidence have shown numerous species and civilizations not mentioned in any Biblical passage.
But that's just my opinion, maybe I'm wrong.

Pantera as a group definitely revolutionized the view of modern metal, particularly the crunchy, mean rhythms of their songs, as led by Dimebags guitars. The genre has evolved to a certain point, but I can guarantee you that asking any lead guitarist in any number of current rock bands about their influences and nine out of ten will site Dimebag.

I'm reading the post you wrote. Der.
No, in my spare time I'm re-reading the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, as well as following the new Ghost Rider limited series by Garth Ennis, which is very well written and illustrated, along with the new Dark Tower graphic novel series based on the works of Stephen King and Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness.
