One small questions, which I couldn't figure out reading from your story. Did the knocking on the door continue even as you walked up to it and then there was nobody there? Or did it stop and then you walked to the door and nobody was there? I personally find the first one creeper then the second one as the second can be explained.

I shouted "WHAT!?"! after it was going on for about 10 seconds then i shouted "WHAT IS IT!?!" and it kept going for a bit and suddenly stopped and there was just scilence which made me get up from bed and open the door to find nobody around. It was just hard as hell fast knocking. I was shouting louder than the knocking though and my room is on the opposite side of the house from where my mum was.

I was seriously offended by the cartoon, but it wasn't the cartoon that managed to piss me off it was was the fact that newgrounds was supporting it by putting it on the front page. I know that this website lets people make whatever they want, but to actually go "Hey everyone look at this" is just waaay too far. Tom has a kid now, you would think he would maybe understand how tragic it is to lose a kid. Then again i dunno if he was the one that put it there. Who cares if its Tyson's kid, that doesn't make a difference shes just a little 4 year old kid.

Anyway whatever, i was mega pissed off when i saw it last night but now i realise it was just a retard with the worst sense of humor trying to piss everyone off.

I'm gonna post here becuase im totally into this shit. Its the stories that intrest me in this stuff, alot of people say evidence would have been found if ghosts did exist, but the thing is, is that there is LOTS evidence. But it justs gets put into a pile of earlier evidence becuase nobody can tell if its fake or not, it just goes into the unexplained pile.

I just have little stories like hearing a noise and not knowing what the hell it was or seeing somthing at the side of my eye which i sware was a person. So i went down stairs to ask him what the fuck he was doing and he wasn't there, he wasn't even in the house he was out at his friends.

My mum was there and i was like "why were you knocking on my door?" and she was like "what? i havn't moved, i have been watching *this*" and showed me whatever it is she was watching on tv. So now i was like ok... what the fuck this is creepy. She even asked me who the hell i was screaming at upstairs and i was like " i honestly have no idea".

I didn't bother trying to get to sleep early again becuase i was freaked out, it was weird enough that someone knocked on my door at all, becuase usually my family just open my door when they want to speak to me or somthing and im in my room. But the fact that i couldn't find anyone who could have done it was seriously fucked up, becuase it was some really hard knocking, so i know that someone or somthing was behind it becuase it was too loud to just be the door being blown a bit by the wind or... somthing.

Also i'll add this weird thing that happened to me a few weeks ago. I randomly woke up at like 3AM it was still pitch black, no idea why the hell i woke up i was still tired but for some reason i felt like going to get a drink of water just from the tap of my bathroom. I walked in drank some water and went back to bed(i left the tap running a little bit by mistake).

When i got back to my room i lay on my bed and didn't pull the covers over me yet when my head split open and water came pouring out, i couldn't move and i'm telling you i could feel it all it felt real. I was completely aware of what was going on so i wanted to shout for help but i couldn't i would just open my mouth and nothing would come out. Then obviously i woke up. Heres the thing though the covers were not over me yet, i was just laying there and the tap was running in the bathroom so the part where i got up and got a drink of water DID happen.

The part that obviously should have been a dream was immediately after i lay down and it must of happened straight away becuase i didn't even have the time to pull the covers over myself. It was fucked up. Anyway theres two moments of my life that are hard to explain. :P

Haha!, well thanks for the response. From doing some research about games development it does seem very hard to get into it and... well, become succesful off it anyway. Alot of stories of people not being able to find work after studying if for god knows how long.

Getting a job at Rockstar would be so amazing, i go past their building alot and considering the games that they make it would just be unreal to work for them. I can dream, but if maths is a big requirement im going to have to basicly change my entire attitude towards it. I think that would be a problem for alot of people wanting to get into games development. Maths has a very scary image about it that i think would put a hell of a lot of people off.

I will answer this, giving you a rough outline you can then pad out with information on your own! You don't do "training" as such. If someone has an interest in games development after highschool, they would typically take a programming course in collage. This gives you your fundamental programming knowledge. Or if your in Scotland and done good in high school you can skip that and go straight to university.

When you go to university, and select a games course. They start off by teaching you more math, calculus etc. The games students complain "what do we need this for" because in the first year or so you get really hard math that you will need for later on. You also get an introduction into 3D modelling / AI / Game theory in general.

Hey there, you know how your going on about the math there? Is there anyway to get into games development without having to study or do hard math?. Im terrible at maths. Im from scotland as well so when i saw i could do it at university i checked the requirements and the maths is the only thing stopping me. It sucks becuase i would love to get into it but if there expecting me to be good at maths thats going to take quite a long time to get to a decent level considering i hated it so much i avoided it at all costs in school.

Has nobody PMed Jeff or stamper to see if this is still alive?. Its taking Waaaaaaayyyyy too long. Im pretty sure it doesn't take like 3 months to stick peoples animations together into one file. (then again, hell if i know).

Nah, i thought it was pretty easy after getting alot of medals off of portal defenders. On that game i can get to the end with nearly every character without being scratched and THEN wadolf (the final boss) does that "firin mah lazor" bull**** and gets me stuck within the beam and i have to start ALL OVER AGAIN!. >:(

Yup, i worked my ass off to get those portal defenders medals, which is whats annoying me about it. :(

Its not THAT annoying, but i think it may have glitched or somthing.

It will be pretty cool if Newgrounds does win. But theres like 11,000 votes at the moment and he wants a million.. Thats gonna take a long time to attract that many people to the website.. Its gonna take a loooooooooong time. :(

I have been exporting a image that i drew in flash into a gif format and then putting at my user pic. The gif itself isn't a bad quality but on newgrounds its horrible. I have tried exporting it at the exact sise, a huge sise, a tiny sise. But it always has weird multi-coloured lines running threw it. Its not THAT detailed in comparison to other peoples user pics. I'll keep screwing around with it but if you think you know whats up, help. :(

You can throw out quality pictures with a mouse if you take the time and effort needed. I'm not saying having a tablet means no effort goes into drawing, but it speeds up the process by MILES!. Tablets are useful for flash becuase it shortens the amount of time needed to go into a cartoon or art for a game.

Go to crucial.com scan your laptop (or find it) and get another stick of ram. After going threw the defragmentation and all that, that you said above. Its pretty clear that your laptop is trying to process too much information that the memory can handle. While vista may work with 1 Gig of ram, 2 gig's is recommended. Get more ram, trust me you'll notice a huge difference.

Ok can i ask somthing about the animating in a movie clip, i havn't done it before. I thought of just drawing a rectangular object around the stage, changing it to a movie clip and then just doing what i normally do. But when i test scene everythings cut out on the left. So now im thinking i don't get it, i realise you can play about with the sise's of movie clips but is the way im doing it actually correct?.
