perry, if he uses your drawings as a base, that's perfectly fine...

but dude... ur drawings aren't good at all, and you seem to have high expectations. I'm reminded of your previous thread, demanding a coder get a school game done for you, with very little benefits in return.

kongregate can't compare to NG. ever.

the differences are obvious. Kongregate is just another plain, boring gaming site. There are a million of those out there. NG is different, and that's why it's not even a contest.

your achievement variables are local - they are on your MC

you don't access them with _root.achievement1, you just say achievement1 or this.achievement1

well, he's not helping with teh animation and such, he's only helping me with the story bit. So I don't think mentioning him in the credits is necessary.

I'm not saying his input isn't valued, but you know what I mean.

Hi. I am currently working on the storyline for my TD. More info about the TD here

English is my second language, and so I need someone who can take my ideas down on paper. I have a fairly good idea of where the introduction scene is headed, but all I need is someone to write out the parts for the narrator, and exactly what they say, etc.

The introduction scene is approximately 30 secs long. I won't write my ideas down here, for obvious reasons.

You will NOT be given any kind of co-authorship, I want to make this very clear. I have worked way too hard on this game, just to give co-authorship to someone who spends 15 minutes on some writing thing. However, you will be credited in-game, and author's comments, and everywhere else credit deserves. I may be able to plug in your site, but it won't be as important as the sponsor, and I can't promise anything either.

Note: You must have something to show me before requesting to help. I won't use anybody just upon empty promises of being the superest duperest english student in his school - i don't care :P

This task won't be very hard, so I'm not looking for a really awesome writer, just somebody that will write the lines for the narrator, and make the introduction cooler, maybe with some ideas of his own.

Interested writers write here, or PM me. If I'm interested in your services, I'll contact you via messenger, and we'll just talk it out ;-)

I'd like to state that I wrote this thread 'professionally' on purpose for, again, obvious reasons, but it won't be like this in messenger :-P

P.S. The introduction we'll make will be submitted to the preview collab

of course it's possible, it's been done before as well.

How you're going to get an artist who can do those images, and who'd be willing to work with you, is a different problem.

You didn't put in the release script..

on(press){
_x = _root._xmouse;
_y = _root._ymouse;
startDrag(this);
}

on(release){
this._x = this._x
this._y = this._y
// Don't know if those are needed.
stopDrag(this);
}

don't be stupid. That's not needed.

AS2:

on(press){ //or on(release)
_x = _root._xmouse;
_y = _root._ymouse;
startDrag(this);
}

Then when you want to stop dragging, you type stopDrag();

also if possible put your submission in a mc so when it loads your game up it wont cause any errors for example the mini-game collab i learnt that the hardway!

I wasn't talking about the music for the preview XD I was talking about the music in my game. lol nvm

well, I suppose I could arrange it for the game to be released after the collab, but if if I'm ready to release my game, and the collab isn't due for another month, then I won't wait, that's why I was asking. But this collab shouldn't take too long, and my game still needs some more stuff, like music (i can't find anything good :-[ ), and fixing up some menus. I suppose you can sign me up...

If i sign up, will I be able to remove myself later on?

B/C if I release my game before this collab gets published, then I obviously can't be part of the game.

I'm planning a bit more things for my game, which is why I delayed its release date, but I'm not sure if it will be done only after this collab gets done.
