this is my first big project, so i have no previous projects that code-wise match to this one. And i cannot publicly publish a demo of the game. If someone shows me something nice, I will send them a demo.

demo will be given if u show me a decent piece. I assure you it's a cool game, and some of the coding was very complex.

everyone thinks they know everything, and are always criticizing, it's annoying. if you are not a graphics artist, no need to post.

you obviously know very little about sponsoring. 500-1000 is not the range for good games.

6000 perhaps was an exxageration. I would say around the 4000. But can we stop fucking talking about this crap? Stop with the skepticism. If you don't have any art to show me, no need to post.

Did you pull this number out of your ass or you discussed it with a sponsor already?

it's an estimate. The coding will get done, what will make the game stand out is the graphics, so it depends on whoever i hire.

hi! I need a graphics artist to work with me on my epic TD turret game, featuring 80 turrets.
look at my first news post, for a lil more info. Game demo will be given to anyone interested, and shows me some stuff he's done.
You are required to be able to draw realistic graphics like this
I demand dedication, consistency, and quick work. The game needs a lot of graphics work, so there will be a lot to do. In terms of coding the game, it is approximately %70 done, so the game's release will depend on you.
Pay is according to the quality of your work. If you did a decent job, and did all the graphics that I required from you, you will get %50 (game is expected to recieve at least 6000-7000 hopefully).
That is excluding ad revenue ofcourse.
Please do not link me to cartoon-style graphics you have made, no matter how good they look, as they will not be taken into consideration. I need realistic graphics. If you have none, and wish to prove to me that you are capable of making some, please draw some sort of building / house as seen in the picture provided.

You may respond to my request via pm or this thread.

Thank you, I hope to see a lot of worthy artists interested.

helooooo

Is there a built-in way to have scrollable text in flash?
Up to now, I did it in a retarded movieclip-masking way. I looked this up, but could only find relevant topics for flash mx, not any newer version (i tried the instructions of the MX, but they weren't relevant to the newer versions).

ty in advance.

also, u need _root before the [] brackets. and why 26? u need to have a variable representing the amount of enemies currently on stage.

ind is your new index for the closest enemy.

you suck at explaining.

the movieclip is currently in a certain position. the user then drags it, and you want it so that when a button is clicked, the movieclip returns to its original position...?

that's dumb.

this problem is easily solved by making your walls thicker.

or trying musician's solution. calculate the angle between the previous position and the current position of the mouse (using math.atan2), run a for from the prev pos to the current one using cos and sin of the angle as ur x and y values. check if the wall hits those x and y values, and if so, the user has 'cheated'.
