Highest Score

The highest scoring movies I have seen are:

LittleFoot with like 4.80 or something.

Pico Vs Convict with 4.72

Sorry to be a party pooper, but it's not lifted anymore since NGcollabs is back up. You might want to restart everything over there.

Those shirts are pretty kickass, especially the Tankmen one. If I had more money I'd buy one for sure.

Here's mine :)

I am too lazy to color it, but I'm pretty happy with it anyway.

BritishMoose: I like yours, the falling part looks slightly weird though IMO, you might want to add a frame or two :)

This was a really low-scoring day :/

Oh well, atleast the daily feature was worth watching :)

It's a huge improvement from the last one, good job.

Not to much to comment on, but I think it would look cool if you'd put like a white, low alpha gradient over the whole thing to make look like it glows a little more.

Just break them letters apart with ctrl+b and use the paintbucket tool.

Wow, I haven't seen that one before, it's really great and comfortable. Thanks for that one.

Response to: Is bigger better? Posted January 3rd, 2007 in Game Development

I own a quite small tablet, and I have never used a big one although I can imagine that having like a really huge one would cause trouble because it would get so clumsy and all... But as said, I have never tried a bigger tablet than my own, so don't listen to me :P

I don't think there is that much to "know" really, he's using a mix of tweening, fbf and some 3D stuff, and has loads of experience and practice to back him up. You could always try to talk to him though, go to the forum on his site deletionquality.net, for example and maybe he'll give you some tips :P

Here it is:
Explosion
Comments on this would be GREATLY appreciated, aswell as tips on how to improve.

Well, I would suggest not using a gradient as the main part of the explosion, and add more smoke. The smoke going away should take up the bigger part of the animation, and the sparks and fire and stuff should just be in a couple of frames in the beginning. I like the shaking-effect though.

Same here, I have never really felt comfortable with the V-cam, I guess I'm kinda conservative when it comes to stuff like that, lol.

But, yes. I do use graphics a lot, since it's much easier for previewing purpose and stuff too.

Response to: movie idea Posted January 3rd, 2007 in Game Development

It must be a damn good script if that's going to happen. You see, many of the people who make flash have their own ideas. Show us the script and someone might consider taking your offer if it's a good story.

Response to: rate these Posted January 3rd, 2007 in Game Development

Well, I guess it's not too bad for a beginner, although the lines are kinda shaky and eyes are weird :P The shading could use some improvement too.

Anyway, this was a great week of flash.

Response to: If I kept going... Posted January 2nd, 2007 in Game Development

It will get through the portal, I don't know about an award though. I usually don't enjoy sprite animations that much really, but this one was pretty good. Keep going!

Castle was awesome, althought Part A is the most boring one of them and I think the other parts will get a higher score.

Then why didn't you say so?
Click on blue sound-wave-thingy, Go to the properties, press "edit" and then you can edit it so it fades.

You could always do it in a sound-editing program too, like goldwave or audacity for example.

Response to: should i continue with this game Posted January 2nd, 2007 in Game Development

Yes, absolutely. The engine is pretty sweet but I'm not too fond of the graphics. Anyway, continue with it and keep polishing it. Good luck! :)

Have you set your sound to 'stream' in the properties panel?

Not that I'm interested or anything, but how much help do you need? What exactly do you need help with? Do you want someone to do all your graphics? In that case, what are you going to do?

When will people understand that you need to provide some info in you post if you want help from anyone?

Response to: Audio levels and microphone use Posted January 2nd, 2007 in Game Development

Well, I do agree with you, I just don't understand why someone would bother to post a rant here on the BBS about it. Sure, it is annoying, but it's not like anything will change just becaus you post this... I think :P
