Cool, I hope I'll be able to take part in the new challenge, but I might not if it's the same time as this one, it's a little late for me.

Maxxor - 14

RE: Music taste

I listen to all kinds of music really, I don't really have favorite genre or anything, but I mostly listen to like Rock and alike.

White Stripes, Deftones, Radiohead, Reel Big Fish, Red hot chili peppers, Oasis, Franz Ferdinand, Aerosmith, The Beatles, Coldplay, Dirty Pretty Things, Gorillaz, Simon & Garfunkel and some other stuff.

Nope.

Do you want to display your talent where thousands of people will actually see it

Yep, that's why I submit my flashes to NG

Visit www.globalsolutions.org/flash.html to register!

Hmm, I'll check that out.

Shape Tweens

At 1/17/07 03:24 PM, Lord-Sonx wrote: How many of you can say that you use shape tweens alot in your projects!?

I don't think I've ever used them for a project, except for like practice and so on, but not for anything serious. I just don't find it useful very often, and if there's a part in which it might be, I use FBF instead cause it's much more reliable.

Have you set you sounds to 'Stream' in the properties panel?

Response to: Mega Freestyle Flash Battle Posted January 16th, 2007 in Game Development

I've sent my part to Kester now :D

It turns out the .fla file was really huge (46 MB) and that was the reason I couldn't send it to Kester in the first place, but I did a couple of changes and got it down to 6 megs.

No, I don't think anyones interested in that, that's just an excuse to bump this thread *BUMP!*

We need more votes people, VOTE VOTE VOTE!!

RE: Flash Crash

Flash crashes for me every once in a while, it was really annoying in the beginning when I lost a lot of hard work, but it has become a habit to Ctrl+s like everytime I've done something good.

Response to: una pregunta(soy chileno) Posted January 15th, 2007 in Game Development

Lol, speak english, not only will more people be able to help you, but also, it's actually against the rules to speak other languages.

I've studied spanish for 3 years but I'm not even going to try and answer you casue I suck so badly :P
Response to: DUDE, where'd my motivation go? Posted January 15th, 2007 in Game Development

Well, a lot of artist have this problem I believe (Including me). I have always been having a hard time staying on track and actually finish big projects, which explains why almost all of my submissions were made in 1-3 days.

But I'm trying to change, the last time I got a good idea for a movie I wrote it down and storyboarded it, and it really helps. I'm still working on that movie and have been doing so for about 3 weeks, and I'm not bored!

Another good thing is to not stress, if you get bored with a flash, work slowly on it and maybe after some days/weeks you'll get your motivation back.

---

On the other hand, you shouldn't really listen to me since I have like shortest attention span in history. lol.

This took roughly 10 minutes, Tips?

Spend more time on it, kinda selfexplanatory really, If you only work 10 minutes on something and isn't pleased, put more effort into it.

I wasn't talking to you, It was directed at that other guy, the one I quoted. -_-

And it's not like I'm judging people because they don't write perfect (I am swedish myself and make mistakes too) but if someone claims to be a good writer (Like that guy did) you really don't get a good first impression if there's a lot of spelling erros and stuff in the post.

Eveyone starts small, yes. The only thing I said was that no person with a common sense would like work with you if they don't what skill level you're at.

Seriously, I just gave you a tip, no need to start bitching about it.

If you can write, then provide an example. Because I doubt anyone would like to work with you with a poorly written post as the only example of your writing skills.

It doesn't deserve it's own topic, you could just have posted it in the NG artist showcase thread.

I'm pretty happy with how my submission turned out, nothing too advanced really but you can't expect much from a 1 minute animation made in two hours... Right? :P

I posted it back on page 2.
