This is how I feel.
Everyone is biased and almost everyone has an agenda. Anyone who is surprised to find that a politician lied, who is surprised to find that the product they ordered from that commercial isn't what it was cracked up to be, or who is surprised to find that that fact they heard from their friend isn't true is naive.
Worst of all, they don't even try and still manages to create controversy.
A blatantly and improbable comercial for weight loss with shoddy "graphics and OOOH 3D SCIENCE STUFF" with painfully acted testimonies.
A shady "doctor" who will butcher their clients.
A mediocre politician that just lies in its ass for some hours, with ridiculous pay, while a dedicated worker completely skillful at his craft splits his oar, wins a misery.
And the politicians "care"
Thoroughly inepts, feed with silver spoon and pampered with the best schools and everything will likely get a crafty title for when the old man dies and the money dries up from the inheritance.
A child with less opportunities, but the fervent desire of success, ends up in a dead end job, his future darkened by clouds of indifference.
I wish all this was just hypothetical examples, but sadly, I have seen it myself in the flesh, people I actually interacted with.
All those fancy shmancy commercials and Tv stuff are trying to make you look a pink elephants pretty, goofy and fun, while in reality, an elephant is nothing more than an angry mass of coarse flesh, wrinkled, grey, ugly and full of parasites.
