Your sources seem to focus on male homosexuality, which is a bit shortsighted. Research shows that it can be hereditary as well, there is no consensus on the matter. I would also look into who funds which studies. Almost all of them have a bias, which will skew the findings.
There are many reasons people are gay. Choice is one of the many. I'd say the reasons are more individualized and that we'll never know a 'blanket cause' for it.
I was never abused as a child, I've been attracted to girls for as long as I can remember. Some of my exes chose to be gay because it was 'easier' to be emotionally connected to a female than a male.
