Yeah It's hard, but I've been putting a lot of effort into it and it seems to be getting better.

But we have to deal with them being dicks in real life.

What I find funny is that these "hardcore" gamers actually tend to know the LEAST about gaming as a whole.

Real gamers should have played, or at least know about, the classic/indie/obscure games, which very few HC Gamers can say. Real gamers will try any type of game, and see gaming as an art more than just a way to blow stuff up virtually.

The thing about Gorillaz is that people listen to them, but most of those people only really like like 1 or 2 of their songs. Their EP's and first album are fairly unknown, as well as a lot of Demon Days as well.

Sing me Spanish Techno is a great song but the music video is weird. It's also funny though.

I would say that MM and Gorillaz are the most known bands out of my list, but I still don't feel that they are CURRENTLY mainstream, and I know they both weren't in the beginning.

Modest mouse's old stuff was relatively unknown.

The Strokes are completely unknown in my area, idk about the rest of the world.

Gorillaz haven't been massive for like 3 years man, and 90% of those people only listened to one of their songs.

Because obviously not everyone likes using a keyboard and mouse for an FPS. That's what I'm talking about, and I'm pretty sure I made that clear in the original post.

And my Xbox doesn't crap as much when playing an FPS.

Actually it's not even an opinion that you can perform better in an FPS with Keyboard/Mouse, it literally is a fact. People actually complain when PC online is linked to Console online for that very reason. And my computer does just fine playing FPS's.

I love Indie Rock sounding bands, not sure if any of these would be considered "mainstream" by you, but I don't think they are.
