But cars of today are made of lighter materials, multi point injection systems with a with a ratio of 14.7:1 fuel/air mixture, disk brakes, coil springs, crumpel zones (making them safer), electronic sensors and internal computer, ABS etc etc etc etc. Not to mention you get sat nav, air con, heated seats, electric windows, air bags and all sort of luxuries.

Newer cars are faster, safer, more economical, have lower MPG's, more environmentally safe, can drive for much further miles etc.

In terms of specifications, newer cars are by far superior than older equivalents. This nullifies your argument stating age doesn't mean it's wrong. I'm not totally disageeing, but newer things are usually better because we've gained more knowledge on that subject.

Actually what your saying is true. However newer cars and things tend to break easier (on purpose btw) My Xbox 360 broke however my original xbox don't have any problems now. I'm also saying that most producers have figured out that having an improved version of something old however making the system fail easier like with old compared with new cell phones.
