But people can't get mad at Tom or YouTube because they see a decline in money from their hobby. Their are plenty of artist who had normal jobs until their actual product sold (Jhonen Vaquez is one that comes to mind), and in the end, that's what is. You can't rely ads to bring you money, you have to rely your actual art. You make movies? Think about getting an actual job in animation while making your own films, or you could make a paysite. There are plenty of alternatives to relying on ads for your income, you just have to find them.
