First of all I'd like to express my sincere joy for hearing from you. I use to follow your work a few years ago and then life took my by the horns, in a way forcing me to set aside this community. However I'm looking to come back with a bang, so if I could work with you, it would be an honor seeing that you were one of the greats when I first started out.

Anyways, fan boy aside, let's get down to business: If I can help I could do the Leon and Merchant scene. If you'd like an art demo or something don't hesitate to ask, as I have indeed been away for quite a while. If you are interested in my help, please PM me with more details on the actual skit. I've got a lot of free time on my hands right now to commit to this.

The Read Me file itself stems from a Bulgarian source (izmekiar.com; the site is unavailable currently). All attempts that I've had on translating the source haven't worked fully (if you use Google Translator, it determines individual "gibberish-words" as stemming from the English language). Other words which are purely Bulgarian don't seem to translate at all, which is why the only way I see this file being translated at all is by someone who knows fluent Bulgarian.

You can also try to translate the file through multiple languages such as Croatian and Slovak and form some sort of reasoning, but it would take forever and even I don't want to guess anything.

I'm going to have to agree with most people.. Preps to the winners.. but some of them can be considered weak compared to others. I had seen some really nice stuff and I was surprised when I didn't see pretty much any of my favorites mentioned.

But as the wise Stamper has claimed, drawing is for fun, just maybe next time I won't spend 12 hours replicating the original bitmap on paper, sketching concept art, drawing it into flash and applying highlights and shadows..

Anyways, I can't wait till the next comp.

I guess I'm really pissed cause I worked very long hours on mine and did a great job.. but I'm not angry that I did this. On the contrary, I am honored to have had my ass kicked by such great artists.

But why didn't I win?.. sniff.

I know there already is an Arthur piece in here but I really wanted to do one as well so I gave it a shot and about 7-9 hours after preparing, sketching the original bitmap pixel per pixel, resketching concepts, research and drawing, it's here, and I'm really proud of my work.

I added a cape because on the cover art he has one, but not in the sprite. Hope you enjoy my piece!

Once again.. yes it is the 2006 awards.. but it will cover everything. Cause i mean, there has never been anything like this in the past years really. And I mean, this should challenge NG authors to make the best films they can.

As for your films.. I dunno. If anyone will vote for one of his movies, then PM me. If I get alot of votes for him.. ill add his most known movie on the list, or most known movies.

Ahh.. Thats not a bad idea. Should be do a seperate poll or, should we just see which movie got the most votes from all categories.. Like if:

Xombie: The animated series has 5 votes in this category and 20 in that and 8 in this and 18 in that.. in the end its final score would be 51. Now if we did that with all the submission options than the one who has the highest score could win that award for best movie.

Ahh.. Well also I added some features that were in the top 50 NG list too.. And Salad fingers is strange.. but I laugh my ass off when i see it, and for the brakenwood series.. It is cute and funny. I thinkof it definitely more of a comedy than anything else.

To reply to that.. Most of the options I chose for the Stick Figure, Music Videos and Comedy and Serious movies, they were classified by Tom Fulp Himself into their respective sections.. Meaning that if you see an option in the poll, it was found in the section relating to what type of movie it is.

Ya, but this "annual" awards thing will be based on all the submissions.. So basically if next year, the guys still vote for the same movie, it will win again.. I know this idea seems blam but it will encourage people to try to do the best flashes they can.

Ya, I did it alone. Freewebs lets you only pick up to 30 options for your polls, so I had to choose wisely. I tried to pick ones that people would vote for, and movies that were well known or on the top 50 NG list.

kk, well ill try to make it as long as a can in .swf format, but if also if I can, i might just make a couple of seperate parts, concert them into .mov and put them together so i could make a longer feature.

Well Ive always wanted to say thank you to all you guys who spend hours and months putting together the flash movies we see on NG.

About 3-4 months ago, I introduced a concept that I was trully excited about... An NG Awards! Now I am really working hard on this concept, but I need your guys contribution.

Like the Academy Awards, The NG awards will correspond of a flash submission, probably as long as I can make it, with the whole nominee system going and all, and people on stage with speeches and stuff. There will be seven categories in the NG awards:

*Best Action Feature
*Best Comedy Feature
*Best Serious Feature
*Best Parody Feature
*Best Music Video Feature
*Best Stick Figure Feature
*Best Artistic Feature

You can vote for your favorite flash based feature in each of the categories.

Note that since there are thousands of NG submissions, I could only choose the top 30 or so for each category, basing choice on The Top 50 NG submissions and, User Favorites. I did not put any collabs in the choices since it would really make it harder for me to select the best feature in each category, so, if time permits, I will add a "Best Collab".

So, go and vote now! Whoever gets an award is because of you guys.

Now, for more info on the project:

I will be making a 10+ minute flash movie, which will look similar to the Academy Awards. I will be making a stage and all and Ill make it all gangster.. lol.

What I want if possible is to be able to have some of you guys, work with me. Since at the Academy awards, they have stars present the awards, it would be awesome to have other Flash animators do that too. If you would like to help out, PM me, and I can tell you how you can help out.

Note that also, if anyone reading this knows Tom Fulp or knows how to reach him and know that he will respond, can he or she contact me, since this is the NG awards, and with his support perhaps a money prize can be in the run!
