Hey guys, not sure how many of you are everquest fans. well, if you didn't know you can play everquest for free at www.shardsofdalaya.com its a MMORPG with a slightly small community making it easy to make friends and form guilds. The server is run completely by donations, and running very well.
Hello, I have been having trouble finding an audio converter. The converters I have do not quite do what I want them to do, I want just a plain wav to .mp3 converter but my current converters only convert 75% of the wav file and make it into a LAME .mp3 format which the audio portal wont accept (I know its nice to have have a bit perfect .mp3 file but I find it useless on NG) . If you guys could tell me what converters you use and maybe how you got it that would be great.
Hook me up!
Hello, you probably do not know me, but anyways.. I submit audio "music" into the Audio Portal, which is usually reviewed etc.. But I am realizing that nobody on here really reviews others with constructive criticism. I see others submit songs that I would kill to recreate. I just think that there is a better place, a better audio portal.
Simply stated: the audio portal is Overrated, and Unfair. I'm sure many of you can agree with that.
I found a site called Garage Band and it Actually reviews your music in real detail by really good musicians. So I submitted a not too decent song and it got over 15 In depth reviews, on top of that it has a ranking system and if you go into the top 100 you have a chance to hear it on a radio station, win prizes and awards etc. It has way more features than this audio portal, and I'm sure you could use their audio for flash if you asked them. The only downside to this is that you have to review 16 songs to submit just 1. but your guaranteed to get many reviews and be heard.
I would like to see a top five Songs category from the Audio Portal
If you want to get the most submissions then why dont we just send one second loops or single sounds into the audio portal? Does it really matter how much music we make, or is it the quality of the song itself?
I submitted a few loops myself. but yea, I dont think it matters how much music someone can make. It's like saying, "I jerked off more than anyone here but never really had sex...."
For those who use Reason, do you guys make your own Combi Bakdrops? (Template/Skins?) or do you download them off of a site?
I usually make my own, have you guys made any?
He is looking for software not music theory, although that is what we all need.
I started with Ejay, it was easy to learn. Just arrange the patterns of music, it is a sample based program. Then I began to use FL Studio, it was neat although it was too fruity... So now I use Reason.
I have Dance Ejay 5 and 6, I dont know if they are still being sold.
Digital reverbs and PHASERZ!
All effects are good, effects and music is much like food with spices.. or hawt sauce!

Okay, so you like Naruto and your girlfriend dumped you so instead of going to the school dance you start making a death metal song while surfing the internet for a computer keyboard that also happens to be a midi controller... We get it, damnit, but we also don't care! These are not exactly topics that deserve their own threads in the audio forum. Half of them belong in the general forum and the others belong in the AUDIO FORUM LOUNGE. Oh yea, anyone know where I can find a good wav to mp3 convertor?
just kidding ;P
If you are concerned about what useless information you see on the forums, why dont you give me an example of what should be seen on the audio forums? As far as a Duel Midi Keyboard, its an instrument and is related to "Audio Production" because it is a tool.
I'm surprised at how angry you are at these useless posts.
Sorry, link doesn't work, I hope this one does.
I found this on the internet while surfing, this Dual keyboard is soo cool as It combines a Midi Keyboard and a word keyboard.
Has anyone seen this before?

I bet there would be good workflow from this.
Hey, I was wondering.. How can I get the sound banks in EJay into Reason ReCycle?or some other program?
I kinda tried but I could not access the files, I could either export them 1 by 1 but that would take eons.
Hey, got reason the other day and messed with it. I found it was a little difficult to get the hang of, but then I got Midi working and wow..... The synths blew me away.. Anyways, I was wondering how you guys with Reason work in the arrager, I found the little thing hard to work with. It is cramped tricky and time consuming.
I worked with FL and the work flow seemed fast pace, but I look back to that (cheeesy) program and.. IT is no different than Ejay.
You guys that are good with Reason, would you mind posting some helpful links about how to do crazy tricks, like.. setting up 9 matrix's and any help topics?
Chow.
For reason, I dont think you can record a mic or use midi.
Sounds to me like it is a huge synth with other synths inside.
I looked at it but never got into it, it was a bit scary with all the knobs and little things you can do.
Can I wire Reason to Cubase? or vise versa?
I have Fruity Loops 6 and I enjoy it very much, I looked at Reason and almost passed out from all the nobs and gizmo's, but I first had Ejay and moved to FL5... Reason looks like a huge lerning curve for me.
What music software do most of you guys use?
What do most of you prefer?
Did you guys move up toward more complex programs after you mastered previous ones?
You can put your instrument's into piano rolls then drag/stretch them to however long you need them, then set your <-> witch is in the top left of the step sequencer, set it -- and it should be as long as you wanted it.
I downloaded a Fruity Loops 5 document and it explained most of the things about FL 5, I found it on limewire it really helped me out, It is called FL 5 Tutorial which I dont have on me. You can also read the help area in Fruity loops 5.
That would be neat to see in the audio portal, I can't wait, lol.
