Second post shows the prizes for the contest.
That was the contest, I take it that you've missed that some NG audio artists got to sell their music ot the actual game, existing songs and/or new material. The contest in question was simply to bring forth and inspire musicians to create new music and show off their skills - and obiously having a really good chanse of being discovered by The Behemoth for the game. :)

Oh. Okay. Well, I'll admit I did miss a lot of the events that led up to the game itself. Still, love it and can't wait to see the DLC.

Well, with working on patching the online and bugs, and putting together the DLC, and everything else they already do, I'd say so. Its still awesome that you guys got in to the game.

And just wow on this whole thing. I came to the forums today just looking for a topic on the CC Soundtrack, and found this. Its been quite a read. Cycerin, I'm behind you the whole way. This guy got caught, at least. And the entire discussion on both forums seems to be digging up more theft from other people. Absolutely crazy. I'm glad to see its working itself out.

Well, guys, good news and bad. My artist finally got around to looking at your posts, and he likes what you've done. Problem is that he's a perfectionist about certain aspects of his ideas, and now wants to try coloring it himself. (Something I wasn't expecting.) When I hear back from him again, I'll let you guys know what's going on.

Razac, that's an amazing style right there. I love it. Though I must admit, it doesn't really fit well with a comic. Cover Art, maybe. (Oh, and you missed the tail wrapped around the guy behind him. ^_^)

Willobeen, your style definitely fits into a comic setting. I really like it. Please finish it. ^_^

I'm gonna forward this topic to my artist, to see what he thinks. Keep up the great work guys!

Any other takers? ^_^

Well, he's half dragon. Dragon scales are very strong and practically bulletproof (in my story).

As to the details on coloring the image, shaded would be nice. Really, I'm just wanting to see your style of coloring, and see if it will fit the overall look and feel of the comic. Color it in you own personal style, how you like it. The version my artist and I like the best will be contacted about it, and we'll take it from there. ^_^

I am writing a comic that a friend of mine is drawing. It is entitled Oiedon Legacy. The thing is that neither of us are experienced with digital painting. We were hoping to enlist a colorist into the project, with a little try-out. Below is a drawing done by my artist. Its the main character taking on 8 armed guards. The best rendering of this image gets the part.

A few things to know about this project.
1) We're simply doing this in our spare time, so this would be an unpaid endeavor.
2) The story is about a half-dragon prince, Stryker, forced into a war and basically stripped of free will, and his fight to get his life back.
3) The only requirements for this image are that Stryker's scales are red(ish), hair is brown, and eyes are green.

Deadline is the 31st of this month. I hope this creates some interest in the coming project, too! Anybody interested, I thank you!

Here's a link to the image (its just a little too big to post directly):

I was hoping to get some opinions on my series, Altereality. I've been playing with the ideas of either remaking the first three episodes, with better animation, sound, and writing, or just continuing with episode five. I guess my main question is do you guys understand what's going on from the first three episodes? If its a little iffy, I may consider remakes. If its somewhat understandable, and you'd like to see what happens after part 4, let me know. ^_^

Nope, she's still there. On the Marketplace blade, so to Game Store -> XBox Live Arcade -> All Arcade Downloads.

It should be 5th in line.

Topic: About Alien Hominid Hd...

Forum: General

I purchased Alien Hominid on PS2 way back when, I believe on the day it came out, and loved it. I recently purchased an XBox 360, and then remembered that AH was on the Live Arcade in HD. I squealed with excitement and downloaded it right away. I then traded the PS2 version in to Gamestop, thinking I wouldn't need it anymore. While I love the HD graphics and new minigames, I'm worried that my favorite feature didn't make the cut.

Is the PDA Level Editor still in here?

I've looked everywhere in the game for it, I believe, and I can't seem to find where it could be. Is the HD version doomed to only have PDA Packs? I was really hoping to create my own again.

If this feature didn't make it, then I HIGHLY recommend it for a future update. I'd even pay Points for it. Even if the levels created could only be used locally, I'd be content. If anybody has any information on this, I'd love to know more. If the feature is missing, then could everybody bug Tom to read this? ^_^ Thanks!

Funny you mention that! WE KEEP GETTING CODEC AND BRAWL SUBMISSIONS, FANCY THAT.

You see, for my submission, I thought about that. That's why I adapted the codec to be a subtitle display instead of the whole screen. I thought it to be clever. I also thought Snake would grab a Smash Ball and summon the MG Rex, but decided against that.

Hey, Johhny, I just want to know if you're gonna use mine, and if you got it okay. (And my follow up email with the info I forgot to include.)

If you're going to use the codec, try to think out of the box. (No pun intended, considering the topic.)

You don't have to draw something new on my account. (Unless you really want to. ^_^) I was just hoping you might have something done previously. Those profile images had to come from something, right. Lol. I still have to finish my P-Bot and A-Bot, so I may have an idea by then. ^_^

I'm mainly looking to see if he has any defining little details, so I can use them in my redesign to further make him identifiable. Like with P-Bot's cord that goes to his blamcannon, or the Flash symbol on his chest, or his goggle-like lights on his head. Just going by M-Bot's face shot doesn't give me a lot, and while I COULD work from it, I still would love to see a full body shot.

Also, looking at the original design gives me an idea of what I can do with what's already there. Since P-, A-, and M-Bot are red, green, and blue respectively, I want to see what parts could be changed or kept when making them parody Zero, Vile, and Megaman X, respectively. ^_^

Mindchamber had posted a pic of M-Bot at various angles. If you go through his post history you should be able to quickly find it.

I checked over 50 previous pages of his post history, his news posts, and his profile in general. I saw P-Bot, The Mindchamber Bot, and Optimus Prime. I didn't see M-Bot.

All digital (Alias Sketchbook Pro, Toshiba Satellite r15 Tablet Laptop)

I was watching the Sub-Zero Batman movie (animated) and just got inspired. I made him skinnier, with a sleeker, simplified cryo-suit. The fishbowl head is always a must in my opinion. (Not much of a fan of the new age "The Batman" design. It makes no sense.) Also added my own touch of making his visor surgically attached to his face, completely integrating a temperature HUD into his body, showing him his body temperature, outside temperature, and instant temperature of what he targets. happy.gif (I think about this a little too much.)

Topic: Music to go with my lyrics?

Posted: 02/28/08 01:59 AM

Forum: Audio

I have a song that I want to use for an upcoming project. I have the lyrics for it (written by myself) and the basic melody I want it to be (which the lyrics are sung at). My problem is I am not much of a composer and was hoping somebody would put together the actual music for the song. I've made a basic recording, just me singing the lyrics, with the pitch altered slightly to sound more like the character that I want singing it. (He's a ventriloquist dummy.) My question is if somebody would be willing to do this for me. Any takers?

http://rapidshare.com/files/95543400/Irv inSong.mp3.html

I'm looking for the basic melody to be maintained, but to have a creepy overtone. Something light, but suspenseful. I'd also like for there to be the ability to space out the three stanzas, with another stanza of just music, so that the animation I plan to use it for can have voice over in between each. (This is for a trailer, but its for a project I've been planning for a while now.)

Any help is greatly appreciated!

You'll want to spend more time on it... Add more details. Cover-art for a comic is supposed to be impressive... After all, with comics, it's the pretty picture on the cover that would catch your eye when you're walking through a comic book store.

So, in summary - More time, more effort, more details.

I was asking if somebody could improve that one. It was just a basic idea. I'm terrible at backgrounds. I'm looking for help, not criticism.
