So I've been kind of doing the pixel art thing as a hobby for a long time, and am trying to make the next step - actually applying these ideas to games or a webcomic. Naturally I'm not super confident about my own work (what aspiring artist is?) but I also love my ideas and would welcome any positive feedback, or tips etc, that anyone here can offer.
I've got a bunch of other samples on this blog:

Any advice on style or how to go about developing these projects would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah... when I was first messing around I would draw over vintage sprites, which I suspect is how a lot of people get started with this stuff. But everything above is 100% me. I'm still not to confident with my people drawing skills, which is why you see so many robots...
The contrast is a good point... I've noticed when looking at this stuff on other monitors that some of the darker images can be pretty hard to make out... I might try something brighter next time...
As for the "include picture" box, I saw it and just figured I could forego that in favor of old-fashioned image embedding. Boy is my face red.
Ha, obviously those are supposed to be embedded images... should make it obvious how new to this I am.
Hey all,
This is my first time posting on Newgrounds... just showing samples of some game artwork that I've done, and looking for advice.
These are all samples from original game ideas, all of which have complete stories and a healthy chunk of artwork ready to go. My main goal here is to find motivated people to collaborate with - programmers, animators, other artists - but since I am just taking my first steps at putting this stuff out there it probably makes sense to get some advice from this forum first. Any constructive criticism is welcome, as are tips on how to best make contacts!
I have a lot more work available at http://manofsuit.wordpress.com/
I also make music... some of my game soundtrack-oriented material is archived at http://soundcloud.com/manofsuit
Thanks! I look forward to your advice,
