"do not have sufficient permission"?

Wow, a step down from the old message, I think. It juts always struck me as funny to "try again" when you're obviously not getting anywhere!

Response to: Front Page Tune-Up Posted January 6th, 2005 in NG News

It's decent. Everything's easy tyo get to, and we still get cool cartoons.

You know, I haven't gone to the front page in almost a year now, maybe more? Having Firefox helps. A lot.

The singel BEST thing done to it since then? No more VG racer.. or whatever that was.

So yeah, congrats for that!

Response to: movie characters Posted July 30th, 2004 in General

Indiana Jones.. hells yeah!

Also, I just watced bourne identity, and I gotta say being able to do half the things he does would be cool.

Other than that.. maybe the calm, cool, collected suaveness of James Bond. And not peirson, or whoever.. the best james bond: Shaun Connery!

I'll bet Maus would get it first, though.

Heh heh heh...
I just got an email titled "Our email marketing really works! Advertise with us!"

Then I selected it and reported it as spam.
:)

Oh, their advertising works great.

Response to: Ambient music... Posted July 21st, 2004 in General

not being an ass here, very openly and honestly: None.

I hate having to turn off my speakers when I hit a site with music. It's bad enough having noises when I pass over buttons (Thank you NG crappy front page) but hearing music is bad enough to make me leave the page altogether.

But then again it's only my opinion, take it with a grain of salt my friend.

hmmm.. worst case scenerio was the after effects left around.

No, not that, you're all sick for thinking it!

Ok, to tell you how long ago I did this, I got up from playing video games.. ON MY COMMADORE 64!! Went downstairs (I lived on the third floor.. being the only boy had it's privledges!) to the upper bathroom and proceeded to have a little fun. Then I eagerly went back to my game.

Too eagerly. I left the Victorias Secret catalog open on the clothes bin right in the bathroom.

*sigh* ahhh, the memories.

If it helps, you're still cool with me Maus. I don't know why people feel it's a big thing. It's not much different than a religion now is it? I mean seriously, most people don't give a crap, and you'll always have those few who think you're worshipping the devil, but you can just ignore those people anyway.

Am I right? :)

Shakira is awesome. I just wish that she dyed her hair her natural colour instead of going with that bleached blonde look. She'd look so much sexier, I think.

I dunno.. for shits and giggles I just searched up some pics of her.. her hair looked pretty blonde, but not bleached white blonde. She still had some color to it. What Idon't like is the platinum blondes who almost look white, that's taking it a little far if you ask me.

is it because you hacked this poor mans account are are trying to sabatosh it?

Sure, I everytime I hear some weenie brag about exp or something like that I want to slap their smug little faces. That's the reason I stopped before level ten to begin with, I didn't want to get to a level everyone seems to think is an agreeable place to be "cool", and not a noob.

I figured it wasn't enough to not be level ten, and want to go back to level one again. I could make a new account I suppose, but then I wouldn't have all my old posts, which I like to be able to go back through.

So, uh.. admins? Any help here? I'm serious! :)

Nah, I like this name, and I want to keep it. Besides, I see no reason to create a new account. I just want to dump exp points.

Maji's dumb question of the night.. Posted July 21st, 2004 in General

So I was wondering about something. I have looked through the FAQ, but didn't find any way to reset your exp. Does anyone know a way to do this?

Do I have to email Tom and have him do it for me, or can a mod do it?

And yes, I'm serious!

I htink I only ever read where some guy realized he was the UOTD. ONCE!

There also used to be a thread about it, but I think it got locked.
I never figured out why.

I also liked the "goodnight BBS" thread, but that has left us as well.. :(

This is very, very true. Much more inexpensive, too.

Plus some of the tools just look cool as hell, or have really cool names. If you have a local bike shop, start hanging around in it until they trust you enough to allow you in back. I've been in some that will allow you back there the first time. Just take a look at all those freaky/interesting tools.. they're great!!

My favorite name for a bike tool has to be a chain whip or a starfangled nut! Um, maybe I shouldn't have said that...

I don't think they give a shit weather or not they sell anything, all they need is for someone to click on one of the links. In most cases not even that. They're advertising for a company, and they get paid for the ads. That's why if you click on an email, and don't even click on anything IN the email you will get a ton more.

You see, these dumb bastards have included little pictures that will be downloaded when you open that email. When the pictures download the email senders know you've seen the image. Seen image=you're stupid enough to read it=you get more.

and as far as the advertising thing goes, my guess is that they get paid for the ads whether or not you actually open it.

Heh, um.. well I guess that goes for most people.

Sorry pox, but for as much as I love bicycles, I still can't fix mine myself. I got a light sponsership early on in my race career, and never really fully learned how to do little things to my bike!

I keep telling myself I'll learn, I'll get all the tools myself, but I never do. I always just end up riding it until it needs tuning, and then I need to ride it some more so I just drop it off at the shop.

I suck!
