BTW, make the games bigger.. Maybe some score you must attain for example, I'd say it would be a rip off of 4 sec firestorm otherwise :S

Response to: Scripters Look Here Posted September 29th, 2006 in Game Development

Make it so that it can't go out of the scene. (hitTest is propably the easiest way, or something with the scene size.. dunno)

Response to: Four Second Firestorm Collaboration Posted September 29th, 2006 in Game Development

Didn't this game have to be "family friendly"? :S Oh and Jogo, remember that the game must qualify (be good enough) to get in. I've learned so much AS during this collab, now I will make a uber 1337 game I guess :P

Response to: Some help with textboxes Posted September 28th, 2006 in Game Development

Weird, it worked for me.. Then you just highlight the text and write anything you want.

Response to: Some help with textboxes Posted September 28th, 2006 in Game Development

Well, make it input text and change the maximum characters located on the bottom of the right side.

Response to: Some help with textboxes Posted September 28th, 2006 in Game Development

...Lolle. Different was teh quick. :P

Response to: Some help with textboxes Posted September 28th, 2006 in Game Development

Change it from the properties into "Input Text".

Response to: Four Second Firestorm Collaboration Posted September 28th, 2006 in Game Development

davidzhut, you've got to use A LOT more time into a game than that. Nice script anyway. No offence, but you need better graphics.. And a much more harder game. Look at the games that were posted before. Good luck anyway.

Response to: online multiplaying game Posted September 28th, 2006 in Game Development

U SUREH? Ok no need to answer, you're right.. Just thought it would be :S (this one guy posted in a XML AS thread so thought so.) Can you give any link to a good MYSQL tutorial then?

O RLY? Whatever, It's a way to make a connection anyway.. I don't know much about it but I've heard and read you can make a multiplayer online game with it.

Response to: online multiplaying game Posted September 28th, 2006 in Game Development

You can use quite many programs, even flash to make them.

XML - NinjaChicken
XML - Inglor
XML - -Khao-

Check those out, they are for Flash. It would be a good start.

Response to: Four Second Firestorm Collaboration Posted September 28th, 2006 in Game Development

Ok, I will try it out... Thanks, I would be teh suckiest without you guys.

Response to: Four Second Firestorm Collaboration Posted September 28th, 2006 in Game Development

Thanks a lot dude, now I can finally send my game. *Sends* I was thinking of a guitar game :D It could be hard though, I first need to learn how to make it play random frames.. And record guitar chords :S (My mic is somewhere around nowhere.) Oh well at least I have got 1 game ready so far...

Response to: Four Second Firestorm Collaboration Posted September 28th, 2006 in Game Development

The "Pull the Carrot 0.65" is a lot better. I haven't really done anything, just been trying to see if I can determine if I have a connection or not throug flash :3 (XML) I need a good idea, and help with the "start after rules" code..

Response to: Four Second Firestorm Collaboration Posted September 27th, 2006 in Game Development

Jmtb, finally your active. Can you help me with the script? I need to know how to make it so that it starts after the rules, then I can send the file.

Bezman I think your game is too hard :S (or then it's just me)

Response to: Four Second Firestorm Collaboration Posted September 27th, 2006 in Game Development

Bezman, in this one you can actually see the difference in 4 seconds. In the last one it was hard for me to find it even after many tries..

Response to: Four Second Firestorm Collaboration Posted September 27th, 2006 in Game Development

So.. WE do it, before sending? And the MC must be named "g"?

Wootish, thanks a lot. But can someone help me with the script that makes it start after the rules are gone? That's all I need and I will send my game.. And start making another one.

Response to: Four Second Firestorm Collaboration Posted September 26th, 2006 in Game Development

Ok, that might just solve the problem.. Yeah, hell yeah it will >:3 Thanks. I would make a game that kicks ***, but I can't use _root.. That ruins it. I just have to come up with something else..

Response to: Thrust for a Kirk-Cocaine day Posted September 26th, 2006 in Game Development

I was here before, for some months and I knew him.. He was really helpful, and he still is. (now I came back though) That means.. A Mag-got day shall be held.. tomorrow! Send me all your money, it's how we celebrate. Just kidding.. Sure, I think there should be a Kirk Day. He was (or still is) a popular and a helpful user..

Response to: Four Second Firestorm Collaboration Posted September 26th, 2006 in Game Development

How dare you make us resend the files >:3 *resends* Oh well, this version is better.. I just have a problem with the "start after rules" .... thing. Help, anyone?

Also, I don't know how I should do the way you clear the game, it's a game against the clock (not survival style) and you must pick the lock.. I guess you've played it, but anyway it would be so that if you don't pick it in time, you lose.. I dunno where the **** I should put the script. (the losing script)

Response to: Want To Sell Your Flash Files? Posted September 26th, 2006 in Game Development

Meh, I might join, I'm in a big need of money :P I wouldn't sell the best I've got or can, that would go to the sponsors if they would accept it.

Response to: Four Second Firestorm Collaboration Posted September 26th, 2006 in Game Development

Good that you added that you have to press W, I thought WTF is this game, you can't even do anything :D That's a pretty unique game.

Response to: Four Second Firestorm Collaboration Posted September 26th, 2006 in Game Development

Dude, I've waited for a week to get a respond that is my game in or out.. Ok ok 3 days :P It is only what it is like, I fixed all the problems and added sound and now I have almost all the needed script.

Inflate (updated)

Yarr, now it's easier to complete in 4 seconds. I don't know about the glow, might be better or worse that way..

Im still working on the background!

I'm pretty sure that when the background is added, it will look a lot better. (depending on the background) It seems similar to this one game from 4 sec fury, but who cares it's not the exact same one :3 I added sounds to my flash, I don't know will I make more modifications.. IMO it's good now. Tomorrow I will start on another one I think..

The first one was right, this ones wrong. At first I was a noob at actionscript, but I started learning it by copying and pasting the script. :P everytime I do so, I read the whole script and understand the whole junk. (or learn) But choose your own way, if you copy the script all the time you won't learn it and you will need a scripter.. If you will, I suggest you to do the way I learned it :3

(I'm bad at explaining)

It's hard to finish it in 4 seconds, even though you would have played it before. Graphics and sounds are excellent :3 Oh yeah.. I have to add sounds to my game too *slaps forehead*
