Anybody else getting this? Posted October 9th, 2007 in Game Development

Hi,
Recently I've been getting this problem; on nearly all the flashes i watch, symbols (movie clips, buttons etc) have a light coloured box round them, it seems like everything inside the box has been brightend slightly. Also whenever there is a black screen on flash i get the same effectat the top and bottom of the screen. Its not just on flash on the net, its on my own stuff aswell, even when i open a Fla, i get the same effect with the symbols when their on the stage. I've never had this problem before, and was just wondering if anybody else is getting it?

thanks
~Madlyinsane

my other thread. the problem is i made a scene and now i can't delete it.
how do you delete a scene? D:

just open the scenes panel (Shift and F2 on p.c), click on the scene you want to delete and click the little picture of the dust bin along the bottom of the panel

sigh why can't anyone do SEARCH THE AUTHOR...

look add

2.73 + 2.84 + 2.35 +2.28 + 3.18 + 2.7 +2.97 + 2.62 + 2.19 the average is three!!!!!

dont you have to divide by the amount there is to find the average? or does bating average work differently?

he's right your B.A. isn't high enough, do you know anyone who could host the collab for you?

Response to: Flash levels Posted October 7th, 2007 in Game Development

Can you not put it in a movie clip which is in both scenes? It worked for me :/

I've tryed doing that, bu the music clip started again from the start. Apparently it is doable using a new level which is seperate from the time line, only problem is i've no idea how to use levels

Flash levels Posted October 7th, 2007 in Game Development

Hi,

I've been having a problem with getting sound to stream across scenes in flash (you've probably seen my posts asking for help with doing it), any way, ive read online that i can do it by loading the music into a level, does any one know how to do this, i know i sound like a noob here, but i've never heard of levels in flash before

Response to: get sound stream to continue Posted October 7th, 2007 in Game Development

I've put them in the movie clip, and put the movieclip on a key frame but im still having the same problem, am i doing anything wrong?

Yeah it looks good i would continue, i agree with the guy who said you should be able to make your own choices tho, and it would be cool if you could have different ending to it.

Well somone posts on the forum what the collab is going to be, and all the rules for it, then people go and animate thier part. All the text needs to be broken apart so that who ever dets the end fla can see it, usually the artists don't get to put the sound in as the collab leader does that at the end, unless there's talking parts or if each part has its own music, then the artist puts thier own sound it. when thier done, the artist sends thier .Fla file to the leader, the leader then chooses the parts that will go into the collab, and puts them all in one fla file.

You can put it on a movie clip which is off stage and have it there on both scenes. Worked for my games.

ok thanks, im bit of a noob, how did you go about doing that? ive got the music in a movie clip, now what?

SimplyFBF 2

And now It's up to you to decide if I shall make a third one of these SimplyFBF.
So, shall I make a third one or not?
( please explain why yes/no )

These are good fbf's, but I think you should start making more advanced animations like having characters, and a story line. If i was you i would make a third one because i can just leave an animation just having 2 parts, if i have 2, i have to make it a trillogy just to get piece of mind.

Its when more than one artists get to gether and make an animation or game together, usually theres restrictions like time of the animation.

Sound sync Driving me crazy Posted October 6th, 2007 in Game Development

Hi, i've made an animation and spent ages getting the sound sync right, then when i uploaded it here, it came out of sync, so i put the sound on stream rather than even, but the problem is i need the sound to over lap scenes, but when i put it on stream the sound stops at the end of the scene. I'll really appreciate any help.
