It's weird that Aeris's death remains the saddest moment in my video game memory. Why hasn't anything topped that for me?
Maybe it's because I was young and innocent when it happened. Maybe my emotions have hardened, and I've become an empty husk of a person.
Great scene, though. The music playing through the battle with Jenova (alongside the fact that you couldn't die if you had that armlet on) was really a great touch.
Oh, by the way, I'm in your club now. I've joined. This is me joining, and I will assume that you have accepted me, because I am that way.
Oh hey, I'm a fan of anime. To an extent. I'm not like a rabid fan or anything, but I enjoy the higher arts.
Would I be able to partake in your club activities?
Well, of course I will. Who wouldn't want me to join their club? Ahaha, the very thought.
Anyway, now that I've joined your club, are there any particular rules that I have to abide by? Any social etiquette? Any traditional rituals?
I ask this because it would seem this thread was made 6 years ago, and has a ridiculous amount of posts, so I'm assuming the ideals may have changed.
How are you supposed to quantify something like innovation?

(Psst. I think she was pointing out how big the name was. It's a movie. Moviegoers by and large aren't going to be influenced by Hideo Kojima's name on a poster, so why put it in such big letters?)
Also, MGS's plot is not ridiculous, it's just really complex. Once you play through all the games, specifically Solid 4, it all makes sense, or at least it did to me. If you have so much hate for MGS, get the fuck out of the topic.
(Psst. The plot of MGS is ridiculous. It involves terrorists stealing giant robots to target the white house with nuclear warheads, cybernetic ninjas, psychokinetic people, somebody being able to take over someone else's body through a hand transplant, etc. etc. Everything about it is over the top. I still love it, though.)
We're told that it's a bad word, so it's a bad word.
In any case, the offensiveness usually comes from the usage of it.
'I had to take a shit' or 'we fucked in the car' - the usage shoudn't be offensive, since it's just using a synonym, Of course they make you sound uncouth, base and vile, but I don't think the 'swears' make them any more 'offensive.'
What I don't get is when people substitute swear words for words that sound like swear words. Like 'firetruck' instead of 'fuck.' We know what you mean. It's the same with F*#$. and the like.
