COMPLETE edition of the interactive "choose next panel" comic
4.07 / 5.00 10,082 ViewsOkay, I'm working on a school project, and here's the deal:
It involves pressing a button that says "Click here to play a sample". I use this button over and over again. So, I can't just go into it's "Down" frame and add a sound there. I want to make this button play different sounds depending on what I choose. For example, I'll have a header that says "Classical Music" and I'll assign that same sample button to play a classical music file. Then there's another header that says, say, "Funk Music". A duplicate of the sample button will be assigned to play a different musical file.
Now, how can I script it so that this button plays a specific sound file, without putting sounds in frames in the main timeline & making the button go to that frame, and without making a different button for every sound file? I think this kind of thing involves putting the sounds in a movie clip, but I'm not sure what to do from there.
I'm using Flash 5 btw.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
You see, this is a problem in cities like San Diego and Burbank.
I dont think it has anything to do with Cops having nothing to do. It has to do with their department NEEDING MONEY. So what they do is, as Adam Carolla would say, "Rape everyone's wallets" with useless BS tickets and hassling normal people. They know that the victims that they ticket could fight it and win, but they also know they won't waste their time and just pay the thing, and then they get their money.
Even if you had the guy's badge number, they wouldn't have done anything. There are probably cops out there right now just waiting for someone to jaywalk when there are no cars in a 5 mile radius.
Thanks, but what about basic tips? Is it true that if I make everything symbols, as opposed to some symbols and some groups, that it would use less space?
Yes, I know, but I still would like to make my file smaller. Does anyone have any tips or techniques they'd like to share?
What are some space saving techniques you people use when making your flash files?
I try to save as much space as possible, but when I make much simpler flash movies than the ones on here, I sometimes end up having over 15 megabytes on the .fla file.
What are good ways to use less space?
I can't seem to find any tutorials pertaining to this topic.
Okay, you know how in certain games, mostly RPGs/Sims, you input your characters name that is later mentioned again? Yeah, I have no Idea how to do this. Many thanks to anyone that can help or point me in the direction of a tutorial that can.
