No I just meant a theme that is not necessarily related to the date. But now that I think about it again the last themes were inspired by the date (St. Patricks Day for green for example) but were actually much broader terms.
I think that "Transportation" idea would be cool, but otherwise a Cinco de Mayo / Mexico theme would most likely result in some colorful and interesting entries.
I'm not sure about a nice theme for the next flood, but if we want to refer to something that happened on that day (May 6th), I think these are some of the most interesting events:
The Eiffel Tower was officialy opened to the public.
The catastrophe of the Hindenburg zeppelin.
Coca-Cola goes on sale (while the first SOLD on May 8th apparently).
UK and France open the Channel Tunnel.
Althought I almost feel like a random theme would be a nice diversion. And please not another colour. :P

Might be my browser though, I'm using Minefield...
It is the emoticon you used in your message but it doesn't work IN the thread, only when you find a thread listed with that icon. Like shown below.

What exactly do you have to do? Which icon? From any thread listing, put your mouse over an angryfaic emoticon and wait - you'll heard the audio, but the animation isn't showing up like it used to.
thnx :)
Actually the animation is showing up for me when I move the cursor of the icon after the audio starts. If I keep it on the icon it does not show up.

Thanks!
Since I didn't submit my third cupcake collab entry to the art portal I thought I should dump it here. Drawing the wooden table texture for the background was fun.
If you look closely, you should find a perspective issue.
I don't know if this has been suggested already before, but I think some kind of "random" button would be a great addition to the art portal. There are so many pics you never saw and probably never saw, this could be a interesting way to browse unknown artists and pics. Also whoever is searching for inspiration could hit the button until he found it.
Mentioned the idea in stickam already, but I thought I leave a message here for further discussion.

I prefer the blank eyes, they make him look more evil and dangerous.
Is the colouring on the pants finsihed yet? It's good, but not as good as the body yet. But the texture is pretty cool.
The colouring looks awesome. I understand why you had fun progressing with that.
And about the crosses, apart from different sizes and shapes you could also give them different angles. I mean rotate them along their vertical axis.... if that makes sense in english.

Really, really?!?!
I don't know if this is funny or sad.
So J-Rex, you don't seem to know or you seem to ignore the fact that you should only upload pics you drew yourself to your art. You can show pics that you think are funny or cool in a newspost, while you should not claim you have done them then.
I know it's probably stupid, that I even care to explain the obvious, but OP is 13 so maybe he really didn't realize.

You could still contribute and post the link here, if you want to.

That's amazing. I saw something like that once, but not even close to that professional.
Also, the frontpage seems fixed, but the order seems messed up now.
Ok you received some critic already, but really this is possibly the worst way to create a comic. There are jagged edges everywhere, bodies, limbs and heads are changing sizes and proportion from panel to panel, the joke itself is not very funny and also to long drawn out and the text is overlapping the stickmen. Even if you decide to draw stickmen, you should try to put some effort into them.
Most things have already been mentioned by other users, but apart from that, I'm pretty sure this would look heaps better if you created the comics with pen and paper rather than on your computer.
Sorry that I'm so harsh, but I think there is no more polite way to say this.
At least some of your other comics are somewhat funny. So I think if you work on the drawing, it could be good.
To show my dislike for the new design I'm only posting the link to the old stickam.
Still NG Art Census
Also this is a good excuse to bup the thread. The room is slowly dying.
It's still NG ART Regatta (or old layout here)

It's a pretty cool concept and a good drawing. I think the legs are kinda short though. IMO the gun could use some details, but it looks good already. The feet look weird, one has a rather angular shape while the other is short and round.
Generally I would either add a background or cut most of the green around, he looks kinda lost there. :P
That sounded like a lot of critic, but overall I think it's a good drawing. I especially like the color scheme and the upper body.
I'm looking forward for more of your stuff.
Haste makes waste....
Thus, this one will be great.
Nice! Art whoring threads are always great.
I would like to see a giant squid pulling something down into the ocean. May it be a whale or a ship or whatever you like, but the keyword in giant squid is "GIANT".
Good luck for your first whoring thread ;)
Hey everyone, why are there only 7 pics featured on the frontpage at the moment?
The end of the world is coming, isn't it?

Farewell "starter pic rule", we will never forget you and the war you died in. :'(
As for the tablets, if you are sure that you will have to upgrade to an intous someday anyway, then it's a good choice.
Do I get it right, you get photoshop elements with the Bamboo Fun but not with the Intous? In that case the Fun is a good deal at least.
We also got tweeted by ForNoReason and retweeted by Newgrounds. Yay for promotion!
In case somebody here is even interested in Twitter....

Also in GIMP you can use the pencil tool and choose "pixel (1x1 square)".
I really think of attempting a building, but I can't promise anything.

But thank you if I'm just being paranoid. More stuff is coming up.
Humbleness is always pleasent, but don't hide your light under a bushel. Your art is pretty cool. And I would love to see the self portrait completely finished someday, I like the colour scheme.
I think it's a cool theme. I was thinking about something along the line "When all candles be out, all cats be grey", but then again we had black cat as the first theme already.
And I did not very well on that one. xD
Also I learned a thin or two about greys, warm greys and cool greys while searching for inspiration. Let's see what I can do with that.

Didn't work either. I want to unplug it and plug it back in but I have no idea what my husband has going on back there, so he's going to have to figure that out. If it doesn't work I'm going to uninstall and install again.
Did you change your desktop resolution lately? When I did some time ago it caused trouble to my tablet and when I reached the bottom of the screen it suddenly jumped to the top.
I feel like the flash banner on the first page should show your different projects a tight bit longer. I'm aware that one can find everything on the "Work" page in details, but I think the viewer should have the time to see and process the info they just got from the banner. Or maybe it could stop when you hover over it.
The design itself is simple, but good. But I can't shake the feeling that something is missing. Dunno like "Why should I hire this web-designer?" Maybe you can adapt a bit of the feeling from that first pic (That reads "I am Christopher David Lee").
Good luck!
