Dunno, I didn't have to be approved, but you should try both links:
New Stickam Group Layout with big yellow JOIN button in the bottom left corner so you are even "moddable".

Really cool preloader this year by mrras aka AsshatClock.
Unfortunately I was not able to submit (or actually put the finishing touches on) my attempt at creating a proper preloader.
I can't wait to see all the clock day flash!
In totally unrelated news that I don't just post to bump the lounge back to page 1.... I signed up at clockcrew.cc two days ago in order to submit a preloader for clock day. And got banned today for no reason. Is there some clock hate for the art forum? I do not know where else they could know me from or why they instantly ban new users.
You can also login under this link, so you don't have to worry about banners and have the layout of a normal room:

That was a brilliant request!

Oh hey that looks pretty cool actually. Thank you!
A dinosaur with a tophat.... but a pterosaurian please.
Hooray, BizarroJoe came to white-wash the term "whoring thread". Muchas gracias!
My request:
Jim Parsons (aka Sheldon Cooper) as Mr. Spock and Neil Patrick Harris as Kirk, fighting each other like in that one Star Trek episode with that strange vulcanian mating ritual (pon fahr?)
You could draw a wolpertinger.

You are more than welcome here, but you should be prepared for negative feedback if you post photomanipulations like these.
We would prefer to see your original art. But even then, don't take it personal when you get critiques.
Welcome to the art forum.
At 8/9/11 06:57 PM, Jugg4n4ut wrote: Yes they are recolors, photoshops. It say so in this thread title, it says it in the thread on The Behemoth forums.
Yeah having "photoshops" in the title is fine, I am just not very happy to see them here. But I am not the one to decide over that.
They are just photomanipulations, they are not even good photomanipulations and you also submitted them to your art tab. It's not your art, it's JohnnyUtah's art that you edited.

I always liked whoring threads to be honest, but the recent flood of them is.... disappointing.
Where is BizarroJoe when you need him? He sure knew how to whore.

You have the chance to honour StraberryClock, that should be prize enough.

Can I remind you of your own announcements in the first thread? (In case you forgot):

Rewards:
The rewards this year consist of store credit and free art commissions.
1st Place: $60 store credit and a coloured art piece of your choice by VividGrim
2nd Place: $50 store credit and a black-and-white art piece of your choice by VividGrim
3rd Place: $40 store credit and a black-and-white art piece of your choice by VividGrim
4th Place: A black-and-white art piece of your choice by VividGrim
5th Place: A black-and-white art piece of your choice by VividGrim
There will be 5 winners, what possible purpose would a round with 4 or 6 people serve? You announce one the 5th place now and 4 continue to the last round? Or will there be a final round where everyone except for one wins? And what happens if there won't even be 5 entries (which is not unlikely to happen)?
You made the same mistake as in the first round. Why did you even state a fixed number of how many people will continue to the next round? The experience of the first round should have taught you that it's almost sure that not all participants actually submit. Only half of the artists did submit to the first round and only the half did submit to this second round. Let's hope this won't start the same arguments as in the previous thread.
To be honest, I would just announce the top 5 of this round as winners, but it's your tournament and your decision. You should consider talking to your judges about the issue, I am sure they can help you finding the right solution.
Welcome to the art forum then!
Don't get worried if it takes long until you get proper replies and reviews, but the art forum is kinda slow at the moment. You should just continue posting your pics.
I think your drawings look pretty good. I like the many different colours and gemoetric features. Sometimes it's kinda hard to see what's going on instantly, but I take it, that this was done on purpose for the last two pics.
Apart from that all I can say is practice makes perfect. You should also consider asking specific questions, so people can help you directly or point you to useful websites and tutorials.
I'd recommend starting a personal showcase thread (ONE that is yours for all eternity) with a more suiting name and post all your finished and unfinished stuff there and where you can also post WIP's and sketches to ask for advice, if necessary.
Here you go!
I think it's ok since you didn't provide any format or design specifications.
Nice work! I also feel honoured that my modern art screw has been chosen as icon. :P
There are however a lot more artists in the credits section than there are pics. Some kind of mistake?
Looks unfinished, his left arm is too thick at the wrist.
At 7/28/11 05:21 PM, rendibsivad wrote: WHY DO YOU GUYS IGNORE?!
Look at all the other art threads in the forum, they don't get as much responses either. But the more you whine about it the less likely someone will respond.
Ask for specific advice, if you need it and don't expect people to give you indepth critique for a 15 minutes sketch. People won't spend more time reviewing than you spent drawing.

Also conversing with your "friend's account" that draws almost like you and to which you coincidentally also have access to, doesn't help either.
Sorry to be harsh, but you asked for it several times and this is how I see it honestly.

Well, I don't ask you to give away details of your comic, but if you want an artist to join you, he should see an example of your comic writing. Could also be an old comic project or something else.
You should have the possibilty to see some of the artists drawings and the artist should have the possibilty to check your writing, before he/she agrees on such ambitious project.
