Forget that, we only had the part where you plug the jack into before. lol

Yes, it's the bigger brother of the one we had before, a 6.5mm TRS connector.

That's correct, of course.

No correct guess yet. It's a rather small object.

I didn't know such thing existed.
The more you know!

Yup, also known as willow catkin.
I just said this, because I like the word catkin somehow.... CATKIN.

Yes exactly, it goes by a variety of names as vacuum flask, vacuum bottle, jug, jar and on. Thermos is a brand name that has become a colloquial name over time. This one is a jug, where you can pour out the drink when pushing a small lever.
although I dont think they include glass
Most of the time, they have a "double-walled" (lined?) glass part inside and a metal or plastic part around that.

First off, I must say that this is a pretty cool contest idea and I wish you a trillion of entries.
At 9/2/12 10:25 AM, SourJovis wrote: Ok, great. I'm less than a month on Newgrounds, and I don't know much about the mascots. The more reason to delve into it. Making a list would be too restricting on the artists indeed. There are a couple of characters from well viewed videos and games (exclusively) on here, that I like. I'll figure something out. Thanks.
Hey there, actually I think you are not the only user who asks himself this question and above that I think it doesn't hurt if we all get more inspiration on this.
First of all there is the "Series" section found under "Channels" that has a place for some of the most famous characters on NG. NOT ALL characters of those series qualify as "mascots" however, but it may help some of us remember a gem or two which we would otherwise not consider for this contest, who knows?
Then, I can highly recommend checking the NG Print Calendar threads from previous years, since hold a real treasure of great NG themed art. Here are the individual links (I hope I don't screw them up):
You find links to the talk threads (with WIP's that never got finished for example) in the opening posts.
I hope looking through these drawings inspires you as much as it inpsired me.... or hopefully it inspires you more, since I still don't know what to draw. :P
At 9/2/12 02:22 PM, J-qb wrote: bottle?
There are some names for the searched object and one version of it contains the word "bottle", but it's not a regular bottle and the kind shown on the pic is more commonly referred to by another name. But "bottle" is a step into the right direction.
As for a zoomed out pic of a cigarette box, I see what I can do. Since I don't smoke myself, I will need to find and photograph a box of the same brand, so you can make the connection more easily.
It's neither a glass (as in drinking glass) nor a glass vase, but there is some glass in / on / at that object.
At 9/1/12 01:09 AM, big-jonny-13 wrote: Pack of smokes?
Yes, it is a cigarette pack! The edge of one, that is.
------------------------------------------------
It's been a while since we had a funky looking one, right?:
No correct guess. (Well, J-qb was right that it's not a napkin dispenser)
It's made of cardboard usually and is indeed some kind of box.
At 8/31/12 02:19 PM, big-jonny-13 wrote: Wooden trunk/case/chest?
It's nothing wooden at all.
At 8/31/12 03:31 PM, Kashi wrote: I honestly don't think it's anything wooden.
What Kashi said.
I really have no clue, like, no clue, soooo..... Is is a hamper? (for, you know, dirty laundry)
No, it's smaller than that. Smaller than a milkbox / milk carton.
At 8/31/12 11:04 AM, big-jonny-13 wrote: A wooden block?
No, it's something that usually contains other things.
At 8/30/12 11:15 PM, maficmelody wrote: I'm thinking an agitator clothes washer?
Nope, it's smaller than that.

Yeah, it is an adjustable strap. This particular one is for a suitcase / trolley by the way.

Like some glass ketchup bottle or something.
Nope, sorry.

I learned to be more careful, so this COULD be a single guess puzzle:
No correct guess yet.
You can solve it, I believe in you!

No, sorry. Maybe a double guess puzzle? Or did I underestimate it?
At 8/29/12 06:59 PM, Tomsan wrote: mokka chocalate cake?
That's what I wanted to hear, it's a cake. If you care: It's a slice of cake, kind of like marble cake. You can see some chocolate icing since we are looking at the top of the slice.
At 8/29/12 07:01 PM, Kinsei01 wrote: Woah, talk about reading stuff on the fly, man I have got to proof these before I read them...
That would result in way less funny guesses. So don't worry. :P
is a rum ball with chocolate chips considered a dessert?
Depends on the size I guess.

This should be a single guess puzzle:

You eat weird stuff as dessert it seems.
dessert not desert.... at least I think that's the misunderstanding here lol
