If you post the suggestion for the next drawing in the thread it can't be guessed anymore.
Congrats to the winners! I chose 2 of the games and 3 of the movies when I voted. I think that's my closest so far. :P
Any news from the calendar contest in sight?
Unfortunately I had to leave while lovingthedark was arting.
If she is still there you should keep her some company.

And it was her wish, that we yell at her if she stops.
It's a really impressive drawing, even though there are those issues with both hands that have been mentioned before. I like the pose you chose, while it might not seem like something special, it is still very dynamic and conveys the supposed power of the wizard. I like the contrast and generally the good job you did with the different light sources. From the facial expression, the skin color and the color scheme of the clothing, I get the impression that he could be an evil wizard. It would be nice to get some more info about the game's story and gameplay. I am just curious. Good job overall.
@Mabelma: Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that the robe can cover his feet from this perspective even if it doesn't quite touch the ground.
About the Tolkien discussion. He looks NOTHING like any Tolkien wizard design I have ever seen. Even if you could find one that looks somewhat similar, it's still far from being "typical".

Well that photographer's work is very professional, but in order to compare it with yours, or to tell you what you could do to get results closer to his, we would need to see yours first.
Generally, you can tell that he has a pretty good equipment and the knowledge about shutter speed, light sensitivity, focal lenght and much more that it takes to get the desired results.

Oh I remember that drawing. I always liked how you drew that eye.
I really gotta continue with that chicken.... some time. :P

On another note, I decided to do a last minute Halloween pic. Happy remaining few hours of Halloween everyone!
So since Halloween is over in a few hours, I decided to do a quick last minute drawing. Happy Halloween!

You can do it Zane, I believe in you!
Looks good so far. I also like the blue dudes. :D

No, it's not a toothbrush.
How about... Grosser-Johann-13?

No visor at all, but partially made of plastic.
At 10/29/12 09:00 PM, big-jonny-13 wrote: Maybe a mirror or screen of some sort?
Although partially reflective, it's not a mirror and it's not a screen either.

Exactly!

So, test-object, since we both lack the necessary arms, I had to improvise.
Nope, it's not a ball / sphere of any sort.

I am sure it was at least not last night. So either noon EST like the last deadline or (that's what I assume) they will accept everything that is posted during this sunday.

No, nothing that's commonly used as christmas decoration.
At 10/27/12 04:43 PM, Absinthe wrote: Not sure why you're not getting attention because your art is awesome. Perhaps people are skeptical if you really did make it.
I think it's more the fact the vigistry post a very small preview pic and a link to his website only. That appears more like advertising rather than actually contributing to NG. Don't get me wrong it's up to him to decide how much he wants to share on Newgrounds, but that also means people are probably less interested, no matter how good the art is.
At 10/27/12 04:11 PM, big-jonny-13 wrote: A lid of some sort?
Maybe for like a tea pot?
No, it's not a lid.
At 10/27/12 02:47 PM, big-jonny-13 wrote: A watch?
Yes, it is the buckle on the leather band of a watch.
For clarification purpose: Clasp is the broader term that is also used for all other types of "closing mechanisms" on watches. This specific kind is usually called "buckle" like its bigger brother which you'd find on a belt.

Nope, sorry. You wear it directly on your skin and yes, it's SFW.

Nah, it's the sniper from the awesome "Prosnorkulus" by... *looks at username*... erm... nevermind.

No it's not a shoe, but another thing you wear.
At 10/23/12 11:58 AM, Escalus wrote: And boy "Decky" that scowling bust of Adam Smith suuuure does look convincing, seeing as you've started "painting" with Sumo Paint as well.
Look, I am not going to be Decky's lawyer here, but two things:
1) This does not belong in this personal art thread at all.
2) The bust you layed over the pic does look nothing like the face in Decky's pic (overlay attached)
I think that statue pic looks weird in some sense and I can understand that you are suspicious, but if anybody accuses another user, they need some sort of evidence or clue.
At 10/22/12 11:05 PM, big-jonny-13 wrote: Like on a briefcase?
Oh thanks for bumping this, I planned to post another hint tomorrow already. :)
It's not a briefcase, but it can also be partially made of leather.
Not the "clasp" but the thing it's attached to, of course.
My entry for the NG Print Calendar 2013 contest. Peace!

Alright, in that case, it is not correct.
Has anybody seen something that resembles a belt buckle somewhere else?
It is also called clasp or buckle sometimes.
At 10/16/12 06:11 PM, Tomsan wrote: oke I thought that was called a clasp. anyway, I have no idea how this iscalled, its the thingy mostly used for helmets and backpacks.
Yours seems to be without the press-release button
No that's not the correct solution. And I don't see how it looks similar to a classic belt buckle. (single square frame and the so-called prong)
At 10/16/12 06:16 PM, big-jonny-13 wrote: A clasp?
Not sure what you mean exactly. But I think you are wrong. Feel free to specify. ;)
