TOAS: Yeah.. And it sort of puzzels me, why pay all that money for something only a few people are going to see..

Idiot: I might have given the impression that I am not at all happy about this project, and that is of course not true.. In many ways it's the best job I have ever had, I get to work outside, the money is good, I got somewhat free hands to do what I want and it is really good practice.. Of course I am happy about it :)

Were is Duke Nukem when we need him..

I think I am.. But not by my intentions.. And that is the worst part about doing this - since I know this is such a massive project then I work too fast. The quality is just rather poor, and that bothers me quite a bit. But he seems happy so guess it's cool..

I fucking hate painting flowers !

This one is the first part I did. This is not the final version, but I don't have a picture of the finnished one yet. This is stolen btw. I guess if you google "french posters" or something like that then you can find the original.. This (and another little poster) was chosen to get a sence of authenticity.. Witch is sort of a stupid thing since the whole picture is going to look sort of early 1800.. And I doubt they had colour printers at that time.. But that's the beauty of paintings.. You get to do whatever the hell you want :P

3rd sketch picture. Nice to get that out of the way.. Please not that the pictures you are going to see later on will be quite different from this.. The two people on this one for example are not going to be in the painting..

Aaaand number 2.. (out of 3)

Some time ago I got a call from a canadian-danish drummer/singer who had a jpb for me. He had an old garage in his back yard witch he wanted me to decorate. He wanted it the be a french themed piece that were to cover the whole wall. I didn't really feel like doing the piece so I told him it would cost him 100 kroner an hour (roughly 19 bucks), thought that would scare him off since I allso explained that it would take me alot of hours to finnish it. I even joked about the amount of money he would spend on the painting could buy a weeks vacaition to paris for him and his wife, but little did it work. I then explained that I am not a experienced painter, and it would be visible in the final result. And he still wanted the job done, and since Im almost out of a job due to the (FUCKING) finacial crysis I had to say yes to deal. Wall of text done, here a picture of a picture with my first sketch drawed on it..

Well there's your problem right there. If you want to draw, than learn to actually draw. Start doing observational (blablabla) and use them to draw in that style.

It's good man.. But the rose leafes look a little wierd without linework.. And I think the lines in the broken glasses should be less dark..

Just an update:
I fixed the photoshop tmp file problem myself, all it took was to restart the computer so I might have jumped the gun on that one however the illustator file just won't go away. Advice much appreciated..

GOD DAMMIT!

I have this problem with some files I can't delete.. And I am thinking since people here use the same programs as me someone might have a solution. The first:

This one is a photoshop problem. I exported a picture as a jpeg file and for some reason it created a .tmp file to go with it. I could delete the jpeg, but not the tmp.. How do I get rid of that tmp file?

The other problem is an illustator problem, but related. This time I have an old ai. file wich I for some reason could not save onto with my project. So I saved the project with a new title and moved on. But now I can't delete or even move the first file (the one I couldnt overwrite). It just tells me that "the file is being used by another program".

Somebody please help me because my desktop is getting filled up with files I don't use anymore and it makes me FUCKING ANGRY!

Go get that tablet.. I have no idea why people sometimes say "you should wait with the tablet".. It makes all the difference in the world when you work to have a tablet. And it is very easy to use. However, of course anything can be done with a mouse if you have the patience. This one I did only with a mouse, it just took me around 50-60 hours because you cant work fast with the mouse... (It's chopped in half because of the size limits..)

Soo.. I was thinking.. Just out of curiosity, is there anybody who has counted how many pieces that has been accepted so far?
