First ever movie i saw was scrotum the puppy.. and i was so like shocked with how rediculous and violent it was and it was life changing cause i was like damn i want to make something violent and contraversial too! and so l looked into downloaded flash and produced perverto... its somewhat pathetic now that i look back on how far along the internet has come where scrotum the puppy is very tame compared to whats out nowadays. I remember shit like Jesus Fighter and Street Life and thinking damn these guys are pushing the edge....

RE: Influx of good games

This is no different than the influx of crappy movies/games.. NG has these waves of productivity.. i think right now just happens to be a hot time to be a game dev. Usually summer months produce good things alot of people have free time and such.

Also you should just play around on your own in the program as you've noticed you are many times able to solve the problem yourself by just trial and error.... yes its frusterating but we all learned this way. Cant have someone hold your hand the whole way as some things you just learn by doing it.

Yea it is pretty hard, but i think you should just practice like the rest of us rather than trying to get other people to get in the trenches for you.

You'll always be dependent on someone else otherwise and will become frusterated with life and probably kill yourself.

Its good to be able to submit and say I made that. We're here to answer questions you may have along the way. Also most people who start flash dont make good movies at the beginning.. that is normal and part of the process.

I think youre doing just fine, something you could do is integrate new color palettes into your piece. I noticed that LaserKarl does this in his paintings.. he'll like do studies in different color palettes. Sometimes that in itself is a refreshing change.. maybe youre getting burned out by the cool colors?
