Go see for yourself.
As far as 09 users, i think its expected and natural to find alot of reviews by that userbase because you have to figure that since they are new, they are excited about the abilities that having a NG account gives you, and the way the levels are setup you can quickly move up in levels early in your newgrounds career due to the ratio's being more friendly than the bigger commitments you have to get through as a user of high level. So that kind of excitement and enthusiasm is expected. You cant fault 09 users for that, i remember when i signed up in 2000 i was depositing points and shit ... dunno what happend that i stopped for almost 10 years... ok im a bad example but its exciting stuff as a new user!
Meh the portal is almost a living entitiy in itself, its a direct pulse on whats going in the scene at that point in time so its entirely possible for it to get caught up in 'e-trends'... i remember the my newgrounds things and how everyone and t heir mother made one and scored really well with them for awhile and then when viewers finally outgrew it, those that came in late got some backlash.
My point is, that if youre movie is indeed 'good' then it should be able to withstand the test of time and whatever trivial shenanigans are going on in the portal.
There is something beautiful in the unpredictability and imperfections of the portal. IMO.
At the end of the day, as a contributor you have to figure who you are actually making cartoons/games for. If its to appeal to a cookie-cutter audience who will praise and kiss your ass then you should go ahead with your sonic movies :) If its mainly for yourself and the few fans who genuinely enjoy what you do no matter how non-typical it is then you should steer clear of the sonic parodies.
