Also, the "emo subculture," as it is called, spawned, and with it storm in the posers who cut to become emo and now everyone is plagued with the cutting stereotype.
Nowadays, the real emo subculture is in writing poems and songs as a form of self-therapy. Many followers of this subculture like to dress scene (Skinnys, Vans, Band shirt, hoodie) as there are ways that it ties into emo subculture (Fringe cause we dont want to see what the world has come to, bands cause we like music, etc.).

ALSO GOOD TO NOTE- YOU CANT DRESS EMO. YOU CAN DRESS SCENE AND ACT EMO/LISTEN TO EMO, BUT YOU CANT DRESS EMO AS YOUER CLOTHES ARENT EMOTIONAL. THEY ARENT SENTINENT BEINGS.
