Is it just simple, but tedious work?

I'd call it more annying tedious work, the lineart took me a day to do, colouring took me 2-3, I do it because I love doing it, no other reason :P It is for fun, i'm not using it for anything, although there are employers looking for vector artists on the net mostly for banners and ads and i know a lot of people on DA that use flash as a illustration tool. Flash > Illustrator ;D

Response to: Looking for a female programer! <3 Posted July 5th, 2006 in Game Development

Your site fucked up my firefox, i couldnt browse it, your swf link seriously suggest that you need better illustrators, so I don't think any highly skilled coders, be it female or male would join your team.
If you're really determined, make a movie first, get some fame, put in the credits "we need female programers" and someone might respond, looking at how a flash submited to the portal gets atleast 2000 views and a famous flash gets atleast 20,000 views
good luck n all that

Response to: Should I get a drawing tablet? Posted April 24th, 2006 in Game Development

At 4/24/06 06:24 AM, GunslineRstyle wrote: thas good to hear. I'm a fan of high-detail animations like that in the Fallen Angel Trailer/Teaser and want to work my way up to something of that kind of quality or better. I'm guessing the WACOM pad has gigantic advantages that can make that kind of detail possible? Just the Flash part I mean, I know that there was a part in FA that used Swift3D so thats out of the question.

actually no, wacom doesnt produce the high quality, your imagination, shading techniques, experience with flash does. the wacom is just like a scanner, except faster :P I've scene friends do amaizing drawings with a mouse and amaizing fbf too. No one can say which is better, it's a matter of which you're more comfortable with . I personaly have a tablet but I never use it, i'm just way more used to a mouse and find it more fun :) Also if ur thinking about 3d, tablet's definetly out of the question, 3d modeling isn't as creative, expressive or fun as 2d, trust me :)
