-Ha I concur buddy. I added details on the fingers to show depth in space. the surrounding subjects of those fingers are just outline with different subtle line widths so they can provide smoother viewing. These are a few examples you overlooked. True art breaks the rules. How about you get your head out of those books. Learning from experience is the key.

Oh god I hope you're a troll, i'm telling you to use the books because you're not ready to experiment on your own yet because you lack on all the aspects i mentioned above. I've went to study these books in art schools a while ago, are you trying to defend this by attacking my own knowledge on these subjects? Fuck it this is a poor excuse for a drawing and you don't want criticism you just want praise. Well I've seen better comic artists in my high school so i'm not going to give you any praise until you spend the energy you took on defending the one 10 minute drawing to learn more on actually drawing.

Response to: How To Burn Flash Animation To Dvd? Posted January 18th, 2012 in Animation

At 1/18/12 12:31 AM, ManNSmkyRoom wrote: How do you go about doing this? Would like to make an animation for a gift to someone, how can I burn it so they can watch on their TV?

I can export avi, but the quality suffers...

From exporting side you can export as quicktime, under advanced vid options you can make it a high def pal video h256 which makes it perfect quality. Or you can get a high quality screen recorder to record the finished swf
From the DVD burning side, im sure there are tons of dvd apps that let you burn a dvd with an auto playing movie. I just used iDVD to make mine. It was pretty fast and simple, as long as you've got a high quality movie to export you should be fine. and again if you click on the advanced video and audio export features of export quicktime from flash you can actually make it reallly good quality! AS LONG AS you dont have ANY actionscript in the movie, in which case there's a chance it's not going to finish exporting... ever. Found that out the hard way... Good Luck!

Nce composition, but pretty generic subject. I've seen way too much sonic fanart and not a fan of smudging. Can you post some other work that isn't sonic?

Response to: NewGrounds Caricature month Posted January 5th, 2012 in Art

I think you should focus a lot more on construction and form before going into color, if it takes me more than 5 seconds to figure out what's going on in the picture like in the last one(I think it's a penis with wheels as balls but i'm not sure) it's not a good caricature. I like the ideas you have a lot, it's just the saturated colors and and sketchy linework overtop them that make me me not like it as much

Who's the delusional one buddy? I used to live with an animator like you who had the chance to do work for people without pay but said "I WIL NOT work for nothing" She's almost 30 now and still works as a teller at a bank. Besides like I've said a million times, this animation probably won't make any money and I'm under no delusion of grandeur that tells me that I'm "the best around and nothing's gonna ever keep me down"

It's very simple: Serious inquiries means if you don't want to work on the project don't spam here. If you want to work on the project, hey glad to have you. Period.

Thank you, awaiting non-trolls.

Also you fuckwad realise what a troll is before you start flinging it out there. troll

Troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response

We're normal people discussing this like adults, you're the 4 year old with his hand in his years going LALALA I can't hear you LALALA

So as an easy way out of arguing you'd just rather just shit on someone else's dream because they don't agree with you on a point. You know what fuck you. I don't care if I get banned for swearing, fuck you.
Go work in another field where you can claim you know everything and shit on another artist's dream you fucking ass

If your passion is animation and your mind isn't full of "money money money" please contact me either through this thread or PM my forum account.

Thank you.

Theres another reason why animators dont just flat out do it for free. You know APART from the fact that it takes the majority of their time and they need to pay the rent and food and thats why they need SOME incentive to trust a perfect stranger online.
The OTHER reason is that it lowers the level of the industry as a whole, you have the exact same case with artists. I know countless threads and articles earging you to NOT work for free, because then every employer will expect free work. And don't give me the 'work here you get exposure' bullshit. I've heard it time and time again for the last 6 years.
Not ONE (payed) job have i gotten from exposure, it's all from past experience and connections, none from a random person finding an obscure cartoon i made once. And I've taken a lot of free work, I did animation for free for a national film festival recently and still got nothing out of it. But I got the fun of having my work shown on a huge screen. That for me was fantastic incentive!
I dont know why I still keep going, it's probably because of your arrogance towards this field and the people who work in it.

:can you send a sample of the script or another script you've done so that you show your level of storytelling.

You should probably show some artwork / concept art for the show because words only won't get many people interested.
can i have a sample of storyboard from the dude who wanna enslave others? id like to know which kind of storyboard im getting and if its possible to work with

attach it here as an image
Now you, are a REAL waste of time.

I tried to be nice to you dude, but ignoring any animator's requests in order for them to work with you or calling them trolls is incredibly immature and I now doubt you're more than 14. How about giving
A script longer than 2 sentences
A storyboard (longer than 2 shots)
Show something apart from empty words

Thank you for your responses, I am awaiting serious inquiries.

Hate to say I told you so. As mentioned before there's another way you'd get animator interested and that's a incredible script so can you send a sample of the script or another script you've done so that you show your level of storytelling. You never know some animator might get really interested with where the story is going and be willing to work with you

Go life drawing , that will teach you to sketch the human body.
Glen Vilppu can also teach you the human body and he does so by spending years and years drawing it.
If you actually go life drawing tho pick up his lessons to do simuteniously and you'll improve 10 fold

I am currently looking for a animation artist for a series I am starting. We already have a set of people who are interested in voicing the series (including myself) and the whole thing will be scripted by myself all that is needed is an animator to bring everything to the visual stage.

ShuffleCat

A) This isn't the animation forum
and
B) If you post this there they'll eat you alive, if you want someone to animate a WHOLE SERIES or even an episode for you when all you do is write you better have some amazing writing or be willing to compensate a hell of a lot , because 1 episode takes weeks and months to make.

I am willing to give credit where it is due.

Well aren't you generous... I really want you to post this in the animation forum actually. Have fun
