All I can think of is a small white dot of reflection in the rosy cheeks to finish it off, to be fair. It really seems very nice. Got some more stuff?
This I do. You can check out more of my art at www.kiareri.com
Thanks for the awesome comment!

it is a really nice illustration, but don't use this site just to plug your website and add your art here not just previews. If someone likes your work enough they'll go to your profile and check your site link.

Loving the art, particularly the dream sequence-y thing.

But it was a little hard to follow for me, because it wasn't immediately clear to me that the car wheel was a car wheel, and that brought her out of her dreamstate or whatever. I thought it was an eye or something.

Perhaps you could invest in some sound effects?

oh i c, yeah definitely good point and i need to add some sound effects. never tried those properly, himmm
thanks for the feedback!

I fucking looooooove your linework dude, it just kicks ass on so many levels! Some of the pieces hurt my brain when i try to analyze them(your metal covers in particular) I keep thinking they're what a dethklok cd would look like! Keep up your crazy metal drawing!

sometimes I get requests for things like "something vs. something" I usually blow them off as impossible and not worth it. But this.... this is awesome!

Bear vs. Squid? fuck yeah. sure. why not?

Thanks dude! Yeah I'm totally like that too, unless i can imagine it being really fun to do. If the premmise is nutty enough i'm all for drawing it! He's gonna get it tattoed now so that's pretty kick ass :)

Wow that short comic is completely fucking confusing. We're talking all kinds of confused here, lucky. Nice stuff, anyhow, but part 2 going to get any less confusing?

you're not really meant to find out whats in her head and why she's getting stressed over nothing. kind of the point. So sorry Lint no not really, will not get less confusing :P

i preffer the b/w one, the colors scattered remove from the quality of the second one imo. Maybe also think about getting a better scanner? I think the first pic's quality's reduced from the scan. I really really like the b/w one!

Response to: Stephen King fans??? Posted February 24th, 2012 in Art

Hey dude, I really really like your linework! Anything specific you'd like to add to the cover e.g.
-theme
-art style(b/w, ink, full color etc)
-subject specifics e.g. characters or item or plot point to be drawn on it
-print size you want the artwork to be
- what compensation you'd give for the guest artist
Cheers!

At 8 hours ago, M-Maher wrote: DO NOT USE GUIDELINES.

you can use techniques to check the eye placement, however trial and error helps you more to develop that sense of how a face is mapped out and helps in making you comfortable when drawing.

Because using refference and guides does not improve your skill in
anatomy
tones
color
construction
flow
shape/line/feature variance
not at all
What you should do is redraw the same drawings hoping you'll get the FEEL of it by redrawing over and over with the same knowledge in your head recycled. Yep definitely do that!

the main word here is 'comfortable' do what you are comfortable with, all us artists do stuff we're comfortable with, its how we roll, i do an anime-mixed-with-cartoon-esk-chibi style, captain-carrion does pixel, Sokembop does cartoonistic, Kinsei01 does realistic depictions, WHY?

Because pushing themselfs isn't how these artists gained their personal look.
Because they've always done their style since they were 4 and no amount of experimenting gave them the idea of focusing on their chosen sub section of art after discovering they enjoy it more than the others
ITS THEIR THAYING BRAH

Seriously you need to experiment and do things you're not comfortable with otherwise you're never going to improve as an artist, study the great artist , study your favourites, experiment with everything you see and you'll discover what is the best method for you. Whenever you're in an art slum it means you're recycling information and you need to go outside and look at something different physically and metaphorically. Push yourself now and get the benefits later!
