Looking for an artist to do nice clean graphics for constant runners. Will publish the games on google play amazon on itunes and do a 50/50 revenue split if intersted please pm me or drop a message here thanks. Heres an example of one I recently did.http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/646293?updated=1
If I get an artist I can create these games much quicker it normally takes me at least 10 days by myself.

Cheers

But... Newgrounds isn't a job-ad site. You can try and find a job and next to that also do your favorite artistic activity. If more people can find themselves in this activity, all the better, you can expand on that, but sticking all your eggs in the cartoon porn basket is a very poor idea.

Of course it is its not what im implying at all but everyone has to start somewhere and ng is an awesome place to get critique and show improvement and just improve its not about my favorite art or what I like or cartoon porn. Its about the system and abuse whats to stop someone scouting there budy whos dreadfull. Absaloutly nothing. I know its frowned upon but I get the feeling its happning.

If you see "garbage" and stupid art-work not worthy to be in the art portal then report it, or if it's good and you are just saying garbage to imply stupid shit than you are wrong.

Some people aren't worth being famous, so they won't be famous. Everything happens for a reason

I dont feel like reporting the artists who post the awfull stuff Im saying the ones who scout them should be questioned.

good thing I have deviantart.

Deviant Art is awesome the groups system is good but there is a tonne and I mean a tonne of crap on devian art getting scouted on ng is an achievement I just think the system is being abused a bit.

The Newgrounds Art voting system wants to promote variation over anything else. The way it's set up is so that 1 art style does not take all the spotlight. In the eyes of other people, the work you adore so much just might not be very remarkable or people are choosing to willingly ignore it.

Keep in mind; you can follow a person or make art with no "public recognition" involved. Fame or attention should never be the endgoal of making art, you should know this.

No because we post our art so no one can see it that pure artist bs I dont buy any of it at all people love showing off there art and too right its hard work. How else are artists expected to make a living promotion I understand the do what you love and the money will come but anyone who works in the art industry knows you gota promote yourself and show off your work. For no fame or attention that is laughable a true artist buddy people gota eat.

I never asked anyone to scout anything I know its frowned upon Im only discussing the possibility of people abusing there power.

This post isnt about oh my buddies don't get noticed nope its just about the system in place. But considering the fact that art is completely subjective its a tricky thing to talk about.

Is the system horribly broken I mean all it takes is for someone with the power to go yup.
Because a lot of the crap on ng art portal shouldnt be there if the system was working the way it should.
Instead its ow my buddies are gona give me the nod even though im shit and no ones looking for the talent.
Im not kicking up a fuss over me but just makes me a bit mad not for me but for those awesome artists that deserve the

I would really like to know what is, in your opinion, getting ignored, and what is getting too much promotion.
Rather than being something purely subjective to your tastes.

Its not down to taste I love all art all styles you name it I like it. But if the system is in there to protect quality and ensure only people who are improving and getting better and producing better art. It would be petty of me to hit the portal and pick out just nasty looking art belonging to people because thats just being an asshole and that art isnt the problem its the fact that its getting up there.

Would be nice to see more of the better artists the ones with the ability to get you on the portal to do threads like show your work or progress. I mean ng is a community and I have gotten lots of feedback on righting to game design even the not so good art ive done as well as help off people but I got out there a lot of these artists are great at what they do but socializing aint one of them. At the same time I cant do it for them. Be nice to see the people with the power exercise it correctly and not abuse it.

If that doesn't work, fake it digitally!

Yup it really sucks there trying to get support so people dont need to use it but we wont get the ability to do that for a while =[

Just created my first game on NG any comments are much apprecated.
Also whats the deal with people hating games because of the unity plugin its annoys me when people
bash a game because it requires the plugin.

Do you use a tablet if not go and get one it will help nothing pricey.
The face needs a lot of work but the characters proportions and silhouette are ok.
Take your time with your sketches and linework especially the sketching.
No point trying to do neat lines over a bad sketch. Anyways thats my opinion.
I hope its helpful keep at it like everything just keep at it and you will improve.

Murder Mystery Game Posted June 24th, 2014 in Writing

So im writing the script for my murder mystery game.
Its being made in unity. Just thought id post what I have first time posting here so forgive me if I have any errors. Theres also a piece of the environment

INT. DAYTIME. APARTMENT
The only thing dirtier than the room is the man passed out in
the middle of it.
The man is Det. Richard Dickerson “Dick” for short. A secondrate
detective who had the good fortune to be picked out of a
phonebook at random by a rich old man. A simple case of
infidelity allowed him a few too many years of whisky and
beer. Years he is going to regret at the drop of a letter.
A piece of post slides though the letter box. The loud clang
knocks the detective from his stupor. He groans and flails
his arms, sending whisky and beer bottles towards the wall.
The smashing glass alerts the detective, he’s more or less
awake.
He shambles towards the door and opens the letter.
THE LETTER SCROLLS DOWN THE SCREEN
LETTER
To my closest ally in the darkest
years of my life, if you are
reading this I have been murdered.
I would like you to solve the
riddle of who killed me. I know you
have a strong disdain for work so
I’ve gathered the most likely
suspects in my second summer home.
Believe me when I tell you the
killer is among them. I knew it was
only s matter of time before a man
of my wealth and renown had an
attempt on his life. In response to
this concern I’ve decided to use
myself as bait, although it may
seem paradoxical at first I assure
you given the recent diagnosis I’ve
received it’s a fairly logical step
to be taken away quickly and more
than likely by someone I love.
Thank you for taking the time to
read the letter.
PS, I’ve instructed the treasurer
of my estate to reward you with the
following upon completion of the
case.
Whisky, six casks of.
Monies, two hundred grand(s) of.
House, One of.
PPS, Don’t fuck me over.
The detective grabs his hat from the rack and shuffles out
the door. He gets in a car and drives off over the horizon.
Smoke bellowing out of the exhaust blocks out the sun. The
title appears over the smoke.
CUT TO:
EXT. DAYTIME. COUNTRYSIDE
Dick’s car pulls into the drive of a mansion in the middle of
nowhere. He gets out and the mansion door swings open. A
butler is in the doorway.
BUTLER
Detective Richard Dickerson I
presume.
DICK
Jeeves, I presume but please call
me dick.
BUTLER
With pleasure, dick. I’ve given
strict instructions, Your first
stop is the master bedroom. Up the
stairs and last door on the left,
dick.
DICK
That was one too many shit head.
Dick walks up the stairs and opens the first door to the
left. He takes one step into the room pivots and pukes into
the hallway.
DICK (CONT’D)
What the fuck is that
BUTLER
Your crime scene.
The old man Gordon Summer sits in his chair minus his head. A
shotgun is resting against the nub that used to be the mans
chin. Blood and brains coat one corner of the room
completely.
DICK
Jesus. Who the fuck leaves
something like that lying around?
BUTLER
Evidence Preservation, Dick.
DICK
Next time take a picture.
The butler closes the door and stands in the hallway.
2.
BUTLER
Nobody in the house is aware of
this except us two. The room was
locked and sealed immeditley upon
the discovery of the body.
DICK
Open er up and give me a second
look
BUTLER
Dinner is underway in the dining
room sir.
DICK
Thanks for telling me, I was
heading for the garage.
CUT TO:
INT.DINING ROOM
All the characters are spread out across the room. Dick opens
the door and is followed closely by the butler, the butler
stops dick and steps in front of him, facing the crowd.
BUTLER
Distinguished party guests I have
the great honor of introducing you
to the most regal grand duke of
versailles.
The butler turns to leave, dick grabs him by the collar and
pulls him in close.
DICK
How the fuck do I pass for frence
royality?
BUTLER
If they think you have money the
won’t question you.
DICK
With hopes of getting some?
BUTLER
No there just thick.
The butler breaks away and dick starts to mingle with the
party members.
The first man he approaches is small fat and balding.
DICK
Hey, ehhh... Slugger.
SLUGGER
You sound like my ex, always with
the name calling.
3.
They go at you for months but you
slip and knock them one in the face
once and it’s slugger for the rest
of your life.
DICK
You beat you’re ex?
SLUGGER
God no she’d kill me. One day we
were arguing on the street and a
fifty flys by her head and I
grabbed it.
DICK
You got the note?
SLUGGER
Oh yeah I got the note. Of course I
did, it was a fifty. I just
happened to clip her on the chin.
DICK
Hi I’m dick, Dick Richarson.
SLUGGER
Art Vandelay. Thanks for talking to
me but I have to go take some
medication.
DICK
Yeah sure.
GAIN CHARACTER ART VANDERLAY
Dick walks off and finds another character in the room to
talk too. He approaches a woman who is alone in the corner.
DICK (CONT’D)
Hi I’m
SHIRLEY MANSON
Dick
DICK
Yeah that’s me.
SHIRLEY MANSON
Oh, it’s your name. Manson, Shirley
Manson. That man at the bar is a
stone cold killer.
The camera starts to drift over.
Don’t look.
The camera snaps back into place.
DICK
I’m sure he’s a nice man.
4.
SLUGGER (CONT'D)
SHIRLEY MANSON
He was arrested for fucking and
killing two debt collectors.
DICK
What sort of scum did the old man
hang around with.
SHIRLEY MANSON
Scum like us. He married me for
christ sake, twice. Old idiot.
DICK
Well I’m very sorry for your loss.
SHIRLEY MANSON
I’m not.
DICK
The killer by the bar who is he?
SHIRLEY MANSON
He’s my next ex.
She walks away towards the bar. Dick follows and stands at
the other end of the bar trying to hear what there're saying.
Another woman slides a drink into the detectives hand, he
lets it sit on the bar.
DICK
Hi I’m
LAURA ALLRED
Dick, right? News travels fast in a
room this small.
DICK
And you’re?
LAURA ALLRED
Not available for integration
She walks off and Art Vandelay returns.
ART VANDELAY
So you met Laura.
DICK
I don’t know. Was that her?
ART VANDELAY
Sure was, the greatest ass to ever
walk these halls.
DICK
I don’t know , the butler has a
mean set of cheeks, maybe a close
second.
5.
Art starts lauging and decneds into a coughing fit.
ART VANDELAY
This country air does nothing for
me. I need more medication.
He walks away again.
DICK
Again really? Bring the medicine
down.
ART VANDELAY
Too much, take too long. I’ll be
back.
Dick looks over the bar, Shirley is gone leaving the killer
alone at the bar. Dick slides the drink along the bar to the
man, It bumps his arm and he downs it in one.
ALFREDO GARAVITO
Nice one.
DICK
So what brings you to these parts?
ALFREDO GARAVITO
Fuck off.
DICK
Sure.
Dicks walks away.
ART VANDELAY
Detective right?
DICK
No, I’m an architect.
ART VANDELAY
Really where did you study? New
west college of architectural and
design?
DICK
Sure did.
ART VANDELAY
No way that’s where I studied. Tell
me some of you’re lectures, did you
have Stepehen Boyds, a right old
prick was boyds?
DICK
Yep he sure was.
6.
ART VANDELAY
For a detective you’re a shit liar,
there’s no New West College For
architectural design.
DICK
I’m not a detective.
ART VANDELAY
Well you’re sure as shit not a
duke. Your card calls you a
detective, you here about the dead
old man on the second floor.
Dick panics and drags Art out of the room into the hall, he
takes the card from Art and flicks it at his head.
DICK
How did you get that?
ART VANDELAY
It was sitting in your bag doing
nothing so I took it.
DICK
Jesus, do you do this with
everybody you meet?
ART VANDELAY
Just the interesting people.
DICK
I’m flattered but stay away from my
stuff. This whole thing could be
fucked because you failed to use
disgression
ART VANDELAY
Walking around a bunch of strangers
asking questions isn’t exactly
discreet.

Dude save your pennies and get a decent gpu one that will last you a while going cheap just costs you more in the end.
The amd 79 series cards are going fairly cheap and there really solid.
gtx 760 or 770 would hold out a wild longer and im not a fanboy of either I have used both cards.
But a tonne of games are using the physx chip and on games like the batmans or goat simulator they reck amd cards.
Save your pennies and get a solid gpu.

Response to: Is gaming really dying? Posted June 19th, 2014 in Video Games

Well as a designer its just big studios are taking less and less risks to do something innovative. Banking on the same model over and over again to real in the money. We have indies to make the oddball things but even that area is beginning to become saturated. I like tonnes of modern games but 2 player golden axe is special to me. I wont ever bash a new title if its worth playing I play everything but if its unoriginal and bland. Example the new wolfenstein thought it was fantastic explosions fast tight controls it didnt and did take itself seriously. There are still a lot of people producing new things its just people bitching because it wasnt a part of there precious childhood. It would be nice to see larger companies taking more risks with the extra horsepower its not for 1080 p and 60 fps its so designers can do wacky things players have not seen before.

Anyways theres my piece on the topic.

Im currently about to start working on a little project and for me there was an awful lot of charm to those
old school silent hill, resident evil, dino crysis type of controls with the camera swapping position the puzzles and the feeling of helplessness always on edge and wary to use items compared to the modern guns blazing approach.
I just want to know did people enjoy that or hate it. I always thought it was kool that you never knew what was coming around the corner sometimes.
