Not really, just because I can comprehend physics better than you does not mean I will live longer. That's how evolution works, who can live longer?

Not to say people don't get smarter, our education keeps getting refined over time.

I was thinking about evolution and how it works. Over time creatures were born with genetic mutations. Some of these mutations were beneficial to the creature and the creature lived longer and procreated more and it had evolved.

That had worked in the past with non-sentient creatures, but now with us (humans) with our advanced state of living, will we evolve as fast as past creatures had? If a creature in the past had gotten the ability to defend itself better, such as faster running it obviously would live longer.

But suppose that was applied to today's standards, if one person could run faster then who cares? Take a car. Able to kill better? Who cares, get a gun. There would be few mutations that would help humans live longer. So has evolution slowed down?
