It could be because the little 60 character description of the movie/game isn't shown there any more. Granted, this could just be because it's so different from how Newgrounds navigation used to be, but personally, I always read that shit before clicking.
2. I've only clicked around the genre navigation a little bit but I already love it. It's so much better than what it used to be.
3. I'm not using the notifications panel at all. It feels cramped, and I don't even think to click it in the first place because there's nothing to TELL me that I have new notifications until I've already clicked on it. I think at the very least, there should be an indication of new notifications on there, and clicking it would take you to a notification page a la Deviantart? I don't really go on Deviantart much, but I think the way they do it would translate very well to Newgrounds.
Also, having SOMEWHERE on the front page where the latest from your favorite artists is showcased would be awesome.
4. A bit less, granted I am spending a lot of that time taking in the new layout. And as big as the icons are, content kind of feels a bit cramped to me at the moment, and like I mentioned earlier, without any kind of information about what the icon will take me too, I feel far less compelled to mouse-over and click on the icons.
And finally: please split the audio portal between voice acting and music! You did it with movies and games in the Flash portal, please make it happen here.
Thank you guys very much for being the best community on the net.

I absolutely love this redesign. It looks so much better, and I am already flipping out on the improved functionality (despite the hiccups when it launched).
The only thing I was really hoping for was that the audio portal be split between "Voice Acting" and "Music" in the same way the Flash portal was split between "Movies" and "Games"
Is there any way at all to make this happen? Not having it wouldn't be the end of the world, but holy shit it'd be nice.
Part of me really likes the super-vague prompts. Another part of me kind of wishes there was something more specific to work into an original scene.
Anyway, I'm going to throw in my suggestion of "competition", though "dinner conversation" is my personal favorite so far.

Feel free to PM me when that goes down!
I do have one question. How did you guys decide to take the averages of the judge's scores, rather than simply totaling all the points?
I would have liked to see how the scores were broken down.
Anyway, thanks for holding this contest! Again, it was a blast. Is this an annual thing? I just want to know when to start looking out for the next official Newgrounds VA Contest.
Right on. Congratulations to the winners! This competition was fun!
I hope to see you all in the next contest!
I'm going to be refreshing this page all day oh my god.
I'd be fine with just three judges. I just want to see the results!
And so, audio forum, YES.
I heard one entry where it really sounded like someone lowered the pitch of their voice. Not going to name any names, because it's really not my place to do that (plus I don't actually remember which entry it was). It WAS one of the better entries though, if I remember correctly.
All I used in mine was the reverb effect on my "God" character
I'd just like to publically thank Animator1mike for leaving a review on EVERY SINGLE submission. That's super awesome of you, man!

Alright. That was intense. Been working on this for a few days now, most of it in post-production and trying to find sound effects. I need to find a better editing program.
Anyway, this is my submission! I hope you enjoy!
Editing this entry is proving to be a royal pain, but I think I can get it finished before the deadline. I may end up submitting it ON the tenth.
Really wish I had heard about this sooner. I have an ambitious idea.
If anyone needs a quick voice actor for their game, I'd gladly lend a hand. I can also help with any story elements you may include in your game. I don't ask for any of the money if you happen to win, just a credit when you submit the file to the portal.
Here's my voice demo, feel free to shoot me a PM if you'd like help:

I've got another suggestion (though I doubt anyone will see this).
There's going to be a "Movies Portal", and a "Games Portal", and then the "Art Portal" and "Audio Portal"?
I think it'd be a good idea to split the Audio Portal in the same way the Flash Portal has pretty much been split. There should be a Music Portal, and a Voice Acting Portal (maybe you'll want to figure out a shorter name, but you get the idea).
The movies and games split makes sense because the only reason the two were related was the fact that they were made in Flash. No other (substantial) similarities exist. The difference is just as clear between music and voice acting. The only reason they're related is that they're audio files, but they're two completely different types of content.
If we did that, the music section would be cleaned up a bit (god knows it needs it), and up-and-coming voice actors could showcase their talents alongside other voice actors in a much more organized fashion.
Either way, if you really want this site to not be seen as "that flash site", ALL of the portals need to affect the individual's account equally. You should get voting experience and power by voting for ALL kinds of submissions, not just games and movies. Blams and awards should be used in ALL of the portals to help clear out terrible content, and showcase work that wouldn't be showcased otherwise.
I know you guys are smart, and you've probably already thought about everything I said here, I just wanted to put it out there myself. Thanks for your time, I love Newgrounds!

If there's any way to makewall jumping smoother. That'd be great. And rolling would be a cool thing too.
That said, this should totally get finished. You've got the makings of an excellent platformer on your hands.
Yo. I found that flash funny. I suppose if you plan on putting a little more effort into a flash, I'd love to participate in it's creation. IF you ignore the sound quality, I do have one flash on here thatshows my vocal work.
