See, the funny thing is, zombies did exist, although they weren't undead, they were still zombies in the sense. Over in Africa bokor would use pufferfish poison to paralyze people, then bury them until the poison would wear off and it would kill a significant number of braincells makign the people mindless, although they would do what they were told.
